I'm surprised that Insidious has the front to carry on posting here, given every single one of his strong buy assurances and SP projections have been proven by that inconvenient thing called reality to be insanely inaccurate and in fact the exact reverse of what's transpired...

He did try reappearing under two newly created IDs this morning, but got very quickly sent to the naughty step under both.

Ian, have you not worked out yet that all UKOG has ever done is to peddle future dreams to the gormless, in the hope that the latter will invest and cover the BOD's salaries? Of COURSE they'll always have to have some "jam tomorrow" rainbow - and the further over the horizon, the better - to keep their schtick running.

That's exactly why SS rushed into Turkey (and then had to drill very hurriedly, hence in the entirely wrong place). But as is now plain, Turkey didn't last long as something marketable...

Hence today's geothermal unicorn hunt - which as others have already pointed out, is an attempt to kill multiple birds with one stone.:-

1. It's an attempt to mask the fact (long-known by the more realistic) that HH is sub-commercial from an O&G point of view.

2. It gives the opportunity for UKOG to persuade authorities that there's still life in HH (that'd be "life" as in Monyy Python's famous sleeping Norwegian Blue parrot) and thus postpone hefty abandonment costs.

3. Geothermal inevitably takes so long and so much money (many years and many millions) to be truth-tested at any given location that it represents the very best can kick that Sando can now achieve. He won't be obliged to prove anything for years - which is exactly what he wants. Geothermal is therefore the absolutely perfect bandwagon for him to try to hitch the fast-disintegrating UKOG wagon to.

Same old, same old - and so like other AIM oil and gas micro-caps.

Update. Posts from both "brand newly created this morning" IDs have now disappeared... I wonder if Admin here has finally managed to get some IP address checking put in place in an effort to lessen ramptastic and market manipulative disinformation being spread by multiple IDs being used by one person?

It's now even more obvious that Horse Hill is "sub commercial" from an oil point of view - so, rather than take any abandonment costs on the chin, SS kicks that can simply miles down the road with this rainbow-chasing geothermal nonsense. "Honest OGA, it's not dead... it's only sleeping."

How many millions of pounds and how many years is it going to take to prove HH geothermal viability one way or the other?

The way UKOG is heading, it'll soon also be at the point of zero revenue for the foreseeable future.

As mentioned before, Gamblers Anonymous have a different term for "averaging down". They'd call it "chasing losses"...

(Currently) well over 10% above 12 month lows, actually - but hey ED, why change the habit of a lifetime by referring to auditable facts?

Separately, I really hope your latest prediction - "My suspicion is EA permit decision will be in Feb 22." - is entirely wrong. If ANGS is holding off on groundworks until the EA permit is granted, that Feb date you now predict then makes their subsequent window of opportunity distinctly more narrow.

Yanis, despite Mr. Multi-ID EchDelta's strenuous efforts, I don't expect news on EA permission being granted is going to do much for the SP, because I firmly believe it's already been priced in.Ask yourself this - if the market genuinely believed therewas a risk of this not being granted, what would the ANGS SP then be?

Sure, you may see a short-lived minispike, as ED is praying for. However, what'll move the SP relevantly IMO is news and timing of first gas to start with, then - and much more importantly - news on sustainable production volumes.

BV agreed that EA permission is all about when, not if.

As to well to be sidetracked at some point in the future (but as we utterly unsurprisingly now have had confirmed, not on Jan 4th), I don't believe this has altered from SF7? Okay originally, there was some talk about SF5, but they switched their thoughts over to SF7 many months ago - and I don't believe they've since mentioned that their thinking has changed.

Mind you, George is hardly good at keeping the market up to date in a timely fashion, but still...

You have to admire the sheer front of a blatant swing trader like ED pretending to be the champion of all genuine long-term holders, when he is of course nothing of the sort.

He got himself stuck in the ANGS lobsterpot by mistiming his trade and has spent the last 6 or so weeks doing all he can to get out at the expense of the gullible.

Laughably transparent.

Two teensy issues with those projections...

1. Given the multiple slippages suddenly announced 2 weeks ago, people's opinions are now naturally moving firmly towards Q2 for first gas (and first gas of course is not the same as full production). In fact, ED himself has gone on record several times stating that he himself doesn't expect first gas until May, so showing what full production revenue figures would be from start March is of course misleading.

2. Still utterly unknown is the volume that Saltfleetby can be made to produce consistently, with or without sidetrack. George is hoping for a sustained pressure build-up after 4+ years of field inaction - but George's track record on his hopes becoming realities is particularly poor.

So as ever, this comes back to how much gas and by when?

I see that ED frantically and fairly obviously continues to try to big up EA permission being released, so he can exit. Does anyone honestly believe that ANGS isn't going to get this permission? Didn't think so... it's just about when, not if.

Unfortunately for ED, despite the picture he's trying so hard to paint for his own self-interest, EA permission being granted is no guarantee of success for ANGS whatsoever - though of course, if it's withheld, ANGS's survival looks particularly bleak.

Instead, it's just one (of course) essential step towards ANGS hopefully being able to provide verifiable answers to the only two questions that actually do matter, namely:-

How much gas and by when?

Yanis, I would indeed agree, if we were talking about any well-run and logically acting company that had earned credibility and trust by achieving any of its previously self-set goals.

Sadly, I'm not exactly sure that description fits ANGS particularly well...

Yanis, I'd agree with you in other circumstances (why go to an expense before one has to, right?) Except...

1. There is an ever-narrowing window of opportunity to make some significant money before the hedge kicks in - and Lord knows, with its already incurred debt funding liabilities and after 19+ months and counting of generating literally zero revenue, ANGS really could do with the resulting cash

and

2. Saltfleetby is literally make or break for ANGS. Without it, the company disappears in a cloud of unpaid debt. So there's never been any point at all in them hanging back on the groundworks - it's not as though, if EA permission is refused, they can then congratulate themselves on not going to the groundworks expense - because there won't be a company any more.

ANGS surely must act on the assumption that it can get Saltfleetby to first gas and must do so at the fastest possible pace. To date it's doing neither.

On the subject of civil works...

ANGS MUST have known for months and months and months what groundworks were required. ANGS has had access for months and months and months to the entirety of the £12 million if desired. So I have literally no clue why they didn't complete at least the vast majority of the groundworks ages ago? What on earth has been keeping them back and so determinedly inactive? In fact what on earth has ANGS been doing for the last 6+ months?

Well, let's not get too worked up about what EA permission means.

Yes it is absolutely vital to have (without it, no gas and no ANGS).

With it? ANGS can then move on to the next step of seeing when it can get to first gas and how much it can produce.

PS Yanis, I don't see signs (yet) that ANGS will not be able to start producing before the hedge kicks in - though with all the slippages, I also don't see them producing much before the hedge. It's never been just about timing - the equally important question for me has always been about the quantity of gas ANGS can regularly produce (now without sidetrack, at least initially).

I am beyond sure you're right. As I've said earlier, George and ANGS have a tragic habit of leaving their predictions out there long after there's zero possibility of them becoming true. Like the famous "sidettrack starting on Jan 4th" one... it took ANGS up to the 30th of November to admit that this was pie in the sky, but everyone had been aware of that for at least a month.

He certainly can and absolutely should update his prediction, even if he caveats it by saying something more non-specific like "8 weeks after EA approval is granted". That would help ANGS's tattered credibility a whole lot more than leaving an utterly unachievable "first gas by end Feb" out there, which everyone knows is a load of bull croppings.
