They'd then have 3 to 4 weeks of non-hedged production, which they could then sell on the open market. Or, depending on the production volumes that Saltfleeby shows, they might choose to sit on that (or the cash generated by any sales), in case it's needed against the 36 month hedge that starts in July.

Well if Selfish has always believed what the BoD say, as far as ANGS is concerned, he's suffered multiple disappointments so far, because to date none of what the BoD has said has materialised against the timescales or costs given by the BoD. In retrospect that has definitively NOT been "the most sensible approach".

As to first gas date? Opinions are varied. At one end, you have Gideons, busily assuring anyone fool enough to listen that first gas will be reached within the next 22 days "because the company said so" (it didn't - he's just telling blatant porkies).

The company itself is "presently anticipating" first gas towards the end of April, provided that there are no further delays.

Looking at what's still needed in terms of works on site, equipment arrivals and permissions/sign-offs, realists here are presuming May or June for first gas.

Full production would usually take a further few weeks after first gas.

Make up your own mind.

Yanis, if something is subject to a "prior approval application", then the application hasn't yet been resolved one way or the other. It's the word "application" that's key here. Otherwise they would have said that "new elements are covered by existing prior approval".

It's all a bit moot really. I'm still not expecting the issuance of approval to be a problem - except possibly in terms of the time it seems to be taking Lincs CC. Because ANGS hasn't got much spare time left.

Selfish, I think you'd be better served looking up the distinct difference between the words "approval" and "application".

Honestly... the Chuckle brothers tagteam strikes again. That would indeed be what "prior approval" means... except that's not the text on the Lincs CC planning website says at all.

What the text ACTUALLY says is "New elements subject to a separate prior approval application". So it's the application that's prior and said application for approval has not been granted yet for this element.

Entirely courtesy of Vlad the Impaler, there are potential positives to mention in relation to ANGS. So why feel the need to make stuff up or misrepresent the reality of things?

I'd love to see someone shove a microphone in that sanctimonious know-nothing Greta's face and ask what her immediately implementable proposed solution is right now, with a view to what's occurring.

I still think the only practical solution for any European nation (whether EU or not) in the mid-term is to mount a big push for nuclear (which would still take a decade or two), whilst doing pretty much all that can be done to maximise the production of locally sourced fossil fuels in the meantime.

Well, according to Vlad the Impaler earlier today, if the EU follows suit, he's turning Nordstream 1 off. Which would leave Germany in particular totally screwed. This is such an unholy mess.

That's an excellent IQ, Yanis and sums up the "all or nothing" crux of things. I would point out though that ANGS needs to have reached full production (rather than first gas) by July. The two are different things and there's an inevitable time gap between the two.

Still, let's see what the company's reply is. They may be a little busy this week, what with the annual report becoming due and SOU having to decide whether to bet or fold (it'll be the latter..

BV if ANGS pulls it off in time, I'll 100% be genuinely pleased for any genuine long-term ANGS shareholders. Lord knows, they need a break.

The trouble with ANGS Q&A sessions, presentations, interviews and projections made via RNS is that to date, they've all turned out to be significantly inaccurate.

ANGS would do itself and its threadbare credibility a world of favours if they came clean with latest information as and when they become aware of it, rather than waiting until the very last minute (and long after it's become obvious to everyone that it's simply impossible to meet the latest promised timeline) before issuing yet another revised update that pushes timescales back yet again.

There is still time for ANGS to pull this off - even if that involves first gas not being achieved until May - or even early June. (provided of course that full production delivers enough volume). So if ANGS is already ware, according to the latest info it has in its possession, that first gas won't be reached until say May, then fercrissakes that's what it should state. It could hardly do them any harm, because that's pretty much what all realists here believe anyway - and such increased candour would actually potentially do the company more than a little good.

Keep it up, chaps. I'm more than happy for you to show yourselves up for what you are.

I'm completely sure that first gas won't be reached until May/June. I have not ever claimed that ANGS has said it will be later than some time in April.

Cloves, nowhere in the RNS does it say that first gas will be after the end of April, nor have I ever claimed that ANGS has said this (to date, anyway). It's explicitly clear what ANGS has said in their Jan 27th RNS (well, unless you're Gideons, that is).

It's a tad sad to try to put words in someone else's mouth, no? Seems to be a favoured tactic of the latest ramptastic tagteam... Mr. multi-ID Cloves claims I've said something I haven't and Gideons claims ANGS has said something it didn't. All a little tragic, really.

Anyhow, taking ANGS's latest current "some time in April" projection for first gas with the very large pinch of salt that any ANGS projection invariably needs and with a view to the current state of readiness of Saltfleetby among other things, the realists here are currently presuming May/June - and that's if nothing else goes wrong or gets delayed.

Secondly, if you can't properly read an RNS yet and think that words like "encouraging suppliers" represent any sort of commitment, it's no wonder that you're such an abysmally poor trader. They really don't breed them smart in Salfords, do they?

Anyhow, I shall be waiting with bated breath for ANGS' announcement that they have reached first gas within the next 28 days, as you keep on trying to convince everyone that they have committed to doing.

(Ignoring the facts that PP has still not been received, nor EA approval, nor NG approval nor HSE sign-off, nor all the equipment having arrived yet, nor the on-site pipeworks barely having been started yet etc etc etc).

You are aware that Q1 ends on the last day of March, i.e. in exactly 28 days' time, right?

Moreover in that RNS snippet you pasted, there is no absolutely no commitment from the company stating that it will get to first gas in Q1. Quite the opposite in fact - it clearly states it's anticipating delays pushing things towards the end of April (April's in Q2, in case you hadn't realised).

Seriously... what's the matter with you?

Anyhow those prepared to deal in the real world here are predicting first gas (NB not full production) to be May or June. I'm quite sure they're right.

Gideons, for the umpteenth time, the ANGS 2th Jan RNS simply does not commit to first gas within Q1.

No matter how many times you spout this falsehood, it remains untrue. So when, come March 31st, the company hasn't got to first gas, they won't (for a change) have misled anyone... it'll be you that has.

All we need to do here is wait.

14 days till Gideons' categoric assurance that revised planning permission will be issued.

28 days till Gideons' categoric assurance that first gas will be reached.
