You say TV adverts are so last century, I think you will find a Tui and Jet2 also advertise far more on social media than TCG. Going back to the TV advert, the Jess Glynn song, annoying as it may be is great for Jet2 branding. If most people hear that song they think of Jet2, it makes them think of a holiday and no doubt Jet2 will then be the first place they look.
TCG have a memorable slogan from years ago but who says it anymore. In resort check in, something that rivals have offered for years, only now TCG decide to jump on the band wagon, its probably too late as those customers are now gone and extremely happy with their new company. They seriously need to invest in their marketing department and have a complete clear out as I would say this is one of the reasons that TCG have been left behind and lost so much business to Jet2 a lesser extent Tui.
