Why would TUi have an effect on this share price ? The reason Tui has dropped is due to the cost of grounding the 737 Max, TCG done have any 737 Max.

As for Brexit, even if we ‘crash out’ without a deal, aviation will still carry on. The only problem is that you can’t increase the frequency of flights, they must stay at the same level as last year, which is fine unless you have huge expansion plans.

Cas Tiger (not the real one) for some reason has sheer desperation in de ramping DTG and ramping TCG.
One minute saying budget airlines are struggling, Jet2 aren’t a budget airline anymore as the core business is becoming Jet2 holidays. If they are a budget airline then why are they losing market share to easyJet if budget airlines are struggling ? Also worth noting that EasyJet aren’t really a big airline at Jet2 bases.
Then he mentions the eye watering debt, there isn’t really any debt at Jet2 and they have a very healthy cash reserve, unlike Thomas Cook who for some reason CS is a ramped. TCG have that much debt they are having to sell the airline !
Finally there were claims of accounting problems which were untrue and seem to have disappeared from the deramping posts.
After admitting that he/she isn’t invested here or TCG, I do wonder the motive for prolific posting on both boards ?
Is it a shorter, I doubt it as shorter as have a bit of intelligence, something CS clearly doesn’t by using terms such as ‘mong’. Is it a disgruntled ex employee that has an axe to grind ? Is it just some saddo that his sat in his bedroom with nothing better to do ?

The reason you appeared was to say that Thomas Cook were taking market share, this was unfounded. You then made claims that DTG had accounting problems, this is once again unfounded.

You aren’t invested here yet have so much interest, but you are heavily invested in Thomas Cook so it makes sense.
TCG have gone from £1.50 down to near 28p today. I understand the desperation in fighting your losing cause but the share prices over the last few years tell their own story.

What do any other short airline in the UK offer that Jet2 don’t to make them a budget airline ?

Cash flow is great, growing airline and the only airline to be reccomended by Which?

Jet2 and easyJet are the airlines to invest if you feel the need

Jet2 aren’t really budget airline anymore, but the budget airlines are the ones who could benefit from a recession that will hit soon.

Who is going to spend good money on buying an airline in today’s market ?

Flybe offer at 1p, Germania going bust and over the last hour Flybmi have gone. Surely nobody really believes that someone will spend hundreds of millions on buying an airline just for a few slots.

If anyone believes that selling the airline is a good thing then you are mad. TCG don’t want to sell the airline, Selling the airline screams of desperation and the banks want some money back before the whole thing goes tits up. Someone even posted that selling to Ryanair would be a good thing ?
Europe is on the brink of a recession and companies that have mountains have debt simply won’t survive when people will have less or no money to spend. It’s fine aquiring hotels but they won’t be getting anywhere near full unless they discount them and make a loss.
Anyone investing in any company right now is taking a risk, investing in one with the debt and losses of tcg is madness. You are taking a huge gamble that most of Europe won’t fall into recession, everything will be fine after brexit and tcg will somehow take loads of market share back from other companies.

Everybody can argue all they want but whatever TCG are doing isn’t working.
Considering selling an asset as the banks want their money back is a sign of a disaster waiting to happen.
People talk about the strong brand, it isn’t a strong brand anymore. Thomas Cook have an awful reputation with customers and have lost business accordingly which is why we see the mess that is now.
If you look at the big players in the UK market, Tui, Easy, Jet2, Thom Cook, Ryanair, there is one airline you wouldn’t want to be investing in right now.

Most of the people who use Jet2 do so because of the excellent customer service. Jet2 have their own ground handling staff at most airports instead of using 3rd parties which means they can provide a better service.
The only thing that Jet2 can’t control is dealing with people with reduced mobility. The companies who are contracted to deal with this are massively under staffed and the waiting time for an ambulift is quite often unacceptable, this is an aviation wide problem and needs to change.

I posted ages ago that it’s a well known fact in aviation that the airline part of TCG were most likely to be the next airline that we would see disappear. T&Cs have been squeezed to make the crew just about the lowest paid in the industry (UK) and no company can sustain such losses we see every update. TUI will also go the same way and look to offload the airline part of their group as it makes a loss.

In terms of the RNS, I don’t think it’s good or bad news really, it just re affirms things that were already known. I imagine the market will see the news as negative but some could see the negativity already priced in

The drop was nothing to do with Ryanair. If it was then it would have affected Dart(jet2), TUI, Easyjet and it didn't, they were all slightly up for the day yesterday.

I would disagree, both Dart Group and Tui slightly up for the day.....

What a ridiculous statement.
Ryanair expect to make over a billion pound profit, how an earth would they go bankrupt.
You also say that they are underpaid, the pilots are on with the highest paid in Europe and Thomas Cook are on par with the lowest in the industry.
If Thomas Cook or Ryanair were going to be never seen at an airport again, it wouldn't be O Learys lot.
