Having read the posts on this thread, makes you wonder if HL has been tipped the wink as to possible RNS in the morning? Seems funny that several investors have had emails warning of risky portfolios, it's never happened before to my knowledge? Just seems so suspicious at this time, that's all I'm saying.

I never had an email from HL , but i had to check. It had me worried for a minute. The very suggestion that they would tamper in my financial affairs is worrying, still won't have to worry about that after the sale goes through because HL will be history, can't believe the nerve of the company to be telling me that my portfolio is high risk after all the mismanagement of this inept company that has cost myself and others money and hassle trying to put right what they've f..ked up. Luckily enough I didn't have that cross to bear.

Quick answer NO, it's unlikely to happen. The BOD has clearly stated that it intends to secure the best possible deal for shareholders, which includes them, so 40p is not an option. I also believe that all low ball offers will be rejected at the first level of talks and if no better offer comes from that company then that's the point they will be asked to leave the negotiations. That process will be repeated until the last man standing.
