It was an interesting read and far more knowledgeable on the accountancy front than I will ever be, but doesn't mean they are right and the certainly did get some bits wrong. For example one of their "Trusted Experts" wrote "Grant Thornton declined to continue as auditor... consistent with the bigger 6 firms binning their 'higher risk". When in fact it was public record that Grant Thornton no longer tendered for any main market listed business as they could not compete with any of the big four. "Sacha Romanovitch, chief executive of Grant Thornton, said: “Structures in the [FTSE 350] market make it impossible for us to continue to succeed in it" Got zilch to do with SYME being a "higher risk".
