The central government in Baghdad has alleged that during ISiL ...Kirkuk oil fields production of oil was stolen by the KRG and they kept the revenue during the time when KRG forces ( Peshmerga) controlled Kirkuk for a few years!
Kirkuk oil production is belong to all Iraq and not Kurdistan,and all revenues from it should gave gone to the central Iraqi Government in Baghdad..
Basically it seems the Kurdistan KRG is being accused of stealing!!

Yes and a few more issues to be sorted out after skidding from 176 to 115p following that bad RNS..
If the reasons for buying are hinged on looking good value now after recent 30%+ decline then you need to think why ? before you put more cash...

Assets underground not able to monetise properly and expand
Lower production
Lower profits
Continued geopolitical problems
Dividends 5 cent in Dec...most unwanted at current positions

Morning guys...it seems the MMs have successful tree shaking and many loose holders sold and vanished but where are the strong holders..
SNR is creeping up nicely and I have increased my holdings lately as this share is another great recovery story to be..

Last RNS spooked me and before that I was very bullish on G but now I am waiting for Sarta and gas negotiations beforehand even if I have to buy at higher sp....This time I want to see it before putting more cash..

Well...the whole market looks cheap and just asking what you are hoping from G if you buy at 117p...value! Which is deeply cut by the market due to various valid reasons.....or charts TA....not reliable !
Ah well bought lots of Costain today from part of my recent Gkp sell..
Still holding G but not adding any now unless it goes below£1 so agree at this time with Leem..

Just looked and counted my holdings 22 shares....and thought they were around 15...lol..Genl is one of them at a distance but today in my Ted...

I doubt any company merge with or acquire another Without due diligence and good signs of growing successful strategy..
These takes time and no one will throw away millions of pounds without achieving these objectives....

Retailers need to consolidate and strengthen as currently everyone is trying to get a bigger bite from the mainly online fast growing retail market with a cut throat competition resulting in lower margins of profits ..to sell their goods at lower price to attract customers...
The one good solution is to merge or buy your competitors...me thinking..
Ted with its high end name is ideal for this scenario...

The new restructuring,management at the top are focusing on online early on and sales up 39% and costs are down...
Looking at the recent customer reviews who are buying Ted products 4.5 star out of 5..

Robbie...Really sorry that you lost money but you may not be the type of taking high risk . but if you want to continue then better if you think investing in funds or investment trusts and leave it to them sparing you from all the stresses..
You seem to be a newbie and I wish you luck but direct Share self selecting is not your cup of tea...
The market is very low and good time to invest in funds or investment trusts if you are not that experienced but choose the right ones by dyor..

It is obvious the uk market in general is very weak and is not going along with dow or Dax...sentiment in uk companies are at its bottom...and there are many many shares in a far worse situation with their market current valuations than Genl.
Oilers are going no where and reminds me of the miners crash years ago. We invest in oil commodities with its current low unprecedented cyclical downturn that lasted much longer than expected and for many reasons but Trumpy must take big responsibility for it but not all after the Covid19 disaster..
My issue with G the only oiler I have in Kurdistan now is the geopolitical problem and the corrupt krg political elites that exaggerated the uncertainty of Genl and others in that region of Iraq. The question is why not switch to Bp or Rdsb now and both on safer shore and more certainty with far better transparency than Genl , and their current share prices are so cheap and ripe to bounce back up when market and oil price recovery is taking quicker pace...
So I am now thinking on this rather than guessing where Genl sp will be any more!
Still in small profits with Genl but if it goes much lower to 115p then starting to count losses and don’t want to see this..
Shame really Genl in this region with its massive rich assets that can’t be monetised..
I must admit Genl is not my priority at present as I am engaged with high risk non oiler shares and watching their volatility with eagle eye , many did magic returns in short space of time..

Sp dropped from 175p (Oil price $44.21) on 21/7/2020......To 125p today (oil price $46.40)..

The market valuations of the shares depends mainly on the future prospects of growth ,revenue and profits..
Everything else like geopolitical risks,debts,sentiment...etc play far less role. Charts for me play 00!
Genl last rns was disappointing but I am holding for Sarta news Q4 and gas ...
