Convertible loan note is a hybrid of debt and equity more suited to seed financing in the Start Up industry. Clearly, the profit comes from some further round of funding event or IPO.

Corallian Energy are not an SU with losses in the last figures available in excess of £7mm with no revenue. No capacity to service a 15% interest rate.

S&S therefore either require a further funding round or IPO to see a return/conversion which, in any event, is not imminent.

Moreover, we have witnessed valuations of the gas field from posters more competent in this regard than myself which do not pass muster.

Are S&S merely attempting to save face rather than accepting Corallian was a dud?

I would have rather seen the funds deployed in California to expedite enhanced oil flow in the current profitable market.

Given that the latest Placees and alluded to potential suitors will have had access to the Data Room. Why would they not pursue a hostile takeover rather than pay big bucks on successful EWT’s and lateral B2?
