Late RNS out Friday night as expected re - Bond issue and pricing. Now that's out of the way, perhaps we move up from here.

Of course the company is up for sale H-Hi - I don't think there's a single person on here that's thinking 'Crikey, this is a great recovery story'. The company is choked with debt, Pension liabilities, and a stable of brands that are quite frankly passed their sell by date. But, as part of a bigger international group, with associated sales channels and cheaper lines of funding then yes, there's some value. I suspect Darby is limping along hoping that somebody comes back to the table, before his luck or company money runs out.

Perhaps the big shareholders can't play right now? As people on here keep saying, perhaps there's a bigger picture going on behind the scenes. Who knows with this dog.

The short trade in PFD will be the wrong trade today, and going forward short term.

Positive noises coming from the group, especially regarding international sales growth - which will be attractive to any potential suitors. Debt costs are still annoyingly high.

sadly, when the business is so heavily indebted, you have to pay Payday loan rates. Fingers crossed we're pleasantly surprised.

That's a nice idea, but with most of the 'Better' parts of the business sold off, the resultant cash would be financing what exactly? There's a little trick called a consolidation which would change the current share price - that would be fun.

Been doing some thinking. What do we think the odds are on a further cash raising? If there is some stability in the business (big 'If') and they decide against disposing of Batchelors , then maybe its a change to plug the holes in the finances ? Though , with the market Cap where its at, they'll be limited to some degree.

Huge positive run up on the Market over the past few weeks. Premier Food (you guessed it) flat.

Are we playing the game of of ' was once �2.50, now there 38p"? The ironic thing is we're in the middle of a bull market and these stocks are getting cheaper by the minute? There's nothing Ironic about it. These companies are in a terrible state, and up to their eyeballs and debt. Fill your boots in that candy store, and good luck to you...

Again, why pay a premium? You can all try inflate the price as much as you like in your heads, but right here , right now, that aint happening....

Or, simply dump the stock and move on... Everyone on here is waiting for a premium bid. But, realistically , with a huge pension liability and a dominant shareholder on board is that ever going to happen? I'm not so sure. Nissin effectively have secured a seat on the board, and have visibility going forward. They also have secured themselves fa strong position should they wish to entertain acquiring the Batchelors brand. Premier for McCormick was small fry in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure as the market comes under increasing pressure, that there are bigger fish to fry...

They got their nose in the books - its an option. With a huge pension liability weighing the company down, is it such a great deal? Probably no. But, if you can walk away with the bits you want? Must stop thinking as if this is the bargain of the century despite there being some value there..... Cherry pickers...

PZ Cussons got panned today, so will not help the general feel for consumer essentials etc. Even stripping out PZ's reliance on the Nigerian market, general sales are soft, as is the out look. Throw in the general malaise from the UK consumer , whether its the lack of eating out - Jamies/Prezzo/Strada etc, or the negative feed through from Maplins/Toys R us /Carrilion - its a trainwreck on the UK economy. One might hope that people will run to stock there cupboards with Premier food brands , with lashings of custard. But as long suffering shareholders of this sh*te, we know that only a war with someone like Russia would send us Brits scrambling to stock up on the old favorites... ...But, hang about, wait a minute.............

FFS anyone have anything positive to say? We're all stuck at the wrong level in this disaster stock, all hoping for a bit of luck to carry us out for less of a loss. If you didn't have a position in this would you buy in now? I would say possibly not. So, we either dump it and look else where, use your tax losses for profits in other investments, or ride it out on the wild off chance that Bachelors gets knocked out, the Japanese or the Yanks ride to the rescue.... Oh, and if I had a pound for every time these BB superstar traders drop into posts, telling us they knocked it out here, bought it back there, I'd be a very wealthy man...

Do we know what the spread was at that time? As in, the market was bad yesterday, could it have been a cheap buyer?
