Just been having a catch up with a few companies this morning, and see Mr Potts has reduced his holding by 2.5%.

That's a hell of a return in such a short space of time.

Personally, I think the DBAY strategy of picking off the company cheap, is only part of it.

If they get an offer accepted, then great.
But, the reality is that there are buyers out there, who will have to knock on DBAY'S door to have any chance of success.

If you think about it, they're in a fabulous position.

What I'm baffled by is Telit going to all this trouble to let DBAY back in the game for a couple of extra coppers on the share price?
The constant back and forth by DBAY is a major distraction for the BOD , and unless there's been a major change in circumstances for the Group, then £2.06 doesn't come close.

The tell tale sign was the lack of upside to the share price this morning, and the raft of offers around 210 holding the price down - funny old game.

What a strange old situation this is turning out to be.

I think that's a fair assumption.

Have to say, I'm a little disappointed at the price action. There appears to be a substantial seller around 210, with no effort to test the levels.
The Ublox offer was around the £2.50 last time round admittedly with a stock element, but that that was deemed to under value the company.
One wonders if Dbay's approach will now flush out other suitors?

That's exactly my point Phil.

It doesn't matter when the market's frothy and fired up. But, when there's a change in market sentiment, it matters big time.

Look at Schrodinger in the US last week, capped at $6 Billion - down 35% in a heartbeat, because beyond the hype, the actual Sales figs are way off the valuation.

I think the market potential for AFC is huge. No disagreement there.

But, for now, market sentiment has changed across the board, and valuations are now being scrutinised.

£280m for a company with a £1.1m order book, £31M in the bank, and a small loss of £4.2M all of a sudden may look expensive regardless of a $300 Billion expected Global market.

No axe to grind, just putting it out there.

Would be helpful to see a company response to the move now - market conditions aside.

Raglan and Potts will have been part of the Placing, and wouldn't be buying after the event one would suspect.

The whole sector is getting bashed, and you can guarantee they'll be plenty of Hedge Funds getting involved doing the bashing.
The market as a whole is overbought, and there are cracks appearing rapidly - look at the US TECH Indices, look at Cathie Woods ARK funds getting caught in a negative feedback loop.

It all filters down to the Micro Caps, and will continue to do so.

Has anything changed dramatically to AFC's fortunes over the last couple of weeks? Probably not. Sentiment has changed in the sector and I suspect there is plenty of risk off movement going on behind the scenes.

If you think there cheap then buy them - simple as that.
