08:45 AM EDT, 07/13/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Sterling Metals Corp. (SAG.V) said Thursday that it has commenced exploration work at the Adeline copper project in Labrador.
The company, which lost 6.7% yesterday and is trading near 52-week lows, on Thursday, said it has received drill permits, with construction and field activities starting immediately.
Sterling has set up drill pads at the Ellis Main prospect, where recent trenching was completed and initial drilling is expected within six weeks.
"Adeline holds many of the key characteristics needed to host a super giant sediment hosted copper system - and the Ellis target - with its already confirmed drill intercept - is the first area where we will look for a near surface deposit," CEO Matthew Wilson said.
