FTSE Futures currently up 21 pts so toss a coin for SP open today? Hope we can stay 48p - 49p range today, but this is Friday which quite often sees a sell of in the afternoon before markets close. Hold tight! See what next week brings but I am not expecting fireworks after the 3rd quarter update. I am expecting some vague statement alluding to waiting for year end final results before making any definitive decision on distribution of excess cash/dividends/buybacks to shareholders, so we have to wait until February 24th. Hope I am wrong!

How can anybody have been expecting a special from Lloyds at 3rd quarter results? The half year update was very explicit that due to ongoing uncertainties and unknown's any further distributions would be made at year end!
