I wonder how many of the "streetwise" Hedge Funds opened up short positions on Netflix before it's trading update? It is currently down -28% in pre-market trading.

Now, remind me, when did Tony Blairs Labour party come into power? Let me jog your memory, it was 1997! And when did the Conservatives come back into power? Oh yes, 2010. They had to continue to run with the Austerity that Labour introduced to clear up the mess that resulted from 13 years of mismanagement of the economy by a Labour Government.

Nonsense! The under investment in public services started with the Labour Government after the Financial Crash in 2008 when they introduced Austerity in order to control Public Sector debt!

I live in one of the best parts of the UK to live, the Scottish Northern Isles. A very relaxed way of life if you can put up with the weather. No motorways or dual carriageways. No permanent traffic lights. Friendly people.

Take it easy then! And if you are suffering psychologically as well give your brain a rest as well and leave your PC/laptop/iPad switched of for a month or two and chill out.

Nice if Lloyds buyback 4 billion shares with this buyback and the same for next 10 years, so OK, 40 billion shares less. But we all know that will not be the net result due to new share issues every year....share awards/staff bonus's etc. This is the unknown, how many new shares will be issued over the next 10 years?

April 18 (Reuters) - Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) reported a smaller-than-expected 13% fall in first-quarter profit on Monday, as strong growth in its consumer lending business helped cushion the blow from a slowdown in global deal-making.

The bank reported a 9% rise in consumer banking revenue to $8.8 billion in the quarter ended March.

"First-quarter results were strong despite challenging markets and volatility," Chief Financial Officer Alastair Borthwick said in a statement.

"Net interest income increased by $1.4 billion versus the year-ago quarter supported by strong loan and deposit growth. Going forward, and with the forward curve expectation of rising interest rates, we anticipate realizing more of the benefit of our deposit franchise."
