Sorry, but I did not pick that argument! You know as well as I do I was one of the people that he was referring to in his post at 17:11 to Xwave10 as "and other anti LTI people due to the fact that they have had nonsense, misinformation and lies exposed by me".
All I was doing was responding to that post defending myself! If he had not made that post I would not have had to respond!

Well I am not sure where you are coming from with that? I guess you are saying to me that I am not intelligent? You also state "I don't take sides". Well I'm sorry, you do, your post to me and J46 is evidence of that, but as you have already said, "I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw". This is the second post you have directed at me defending LTI and criticising me saying LTI is being picked on. Well that is absolute rubbish! I only post to LTI to defend myself when he has attacked me, which he has done frequently on this board, mostly for no other reason than his opinion is different to mine and he is always right. It is the sanctimonious and condescending tone of his posts that really angers me, always belittling anyone that posts something that HE has decided is "nonsense, misinformation, lies". Who the feck is he to tell everyone else that HE has decided what they post is "nonsense, misinformation and lies" and that is it, end of story, his say is final! I am sick to death of his arrogant and sanctimonious poison that he directs at me frequently, and I will defend myself in these situations. So after what I have said, it puzzles me why you jump to defend LTI, when all I am doing is defending myself from his vitriolic rants. At the end of the day, he alone is responsible for what others on this board think and say of him, and he deserves everything he gets. I think it is fair to say he is the most despised person on this board.

I think most will think probably yes. Going forward I guess the SP will drift whatever way the geopolitical wind blows until Half Year results on 27th July.

Lloyds Banking Group has warned of the uncertainty facing Britain’s economy from soaring inflation despite posting a smaller than expected fall in quarterly profits and raising its forecasts for the year.

The FTSE 100-listed bank said yesterday that pre-tax profit in the three months to the end of March slid by 14 per cent from £1.9 billion a year ago to £1.6 billion, which was better than the £1.4 billion that had been expected by City analysts.

It took a £177 million impairment during the quarter for an expected rise in bad loans, with part of the charge driven by the risks posed by rampant inflation, which is fuelling a cost of living crisis for British households.

Yet the lender was nevertheless upbeat about its prospects for the rest of the year. It lifted its guidance for both its banking net interest margin, which is the difference between what it pays for deposits and what it earns from loans, and its return on tangible equity, a key measure of profitability. Investors responded by sending its shares up as much as 2.9 per cent before the stock lost ground to close down 0.25 per cent at 45¾p.
