The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Some big fish snapping up the shares at this price - Morgan Stanley Asia and the $1 trillion asset TIAA.
Deutsche Bank have started covering Fever Tree and today issued a Hold @ 3,000.00p recommendation.
It really is hard to hold your nerve at times like these, but as I see it there is no material change in this company's position and thus no reason to change my investment. I am neither buying nor holding but given this loss of value (and loss of value in all the other dropping shares) is an excellent opportunity for entry for any cash rich outliers! All UK markets are in the red today and the AIM naturally leads in this regard.
Argentus- where have you seen this information?
Yes and the AIM by 2-3%. FEVR is not the strongest faller on AIM today and the ‘risers’ are modest.
The entire market is tanking today, it doesn't look like this is FEVR-specific.
I'm in two minds whether to take my 100% return and run or stick around for a rebound, if one comes. I'm not aware of any material change to justify this drop in value.
If the company is doing anything decent, it WILL be noticed and not because the director has appeared on some low budget 'Proactive Investor' interview. Anyone watching that already has an interest in the company.
I'm not sure why any self-respecting director bothers to go on those Proactive Investor interviews, it just makes them look like minnows or desperate. Personally it doesn't fill me with faith, regardless of the content!
I'm not sure anyone can say where this is going from here. Simple reason would dictate that it can't sustain this price in the short term...but then again, look where we are!
FEVR is the stocks that just keeps on giving doesn't it!
I bought in at 1400p initially. Sold half at 2800p (kicking myself a little now but glad I kept just over half the holding! I would dare buy at these levels anymore though....
In other news I'm not an 'Exclusive Member' of the Fever-Tree 'Tasting Circle'. They send you two bottles of new and different tonics every now and then in exchange for you reviewing them honestly. I'd recommend it to any of you but it's by invitation only. If you sign up to the FEVR Newsletter on their website, you might get an invite.
Kicking myself for not selling yesterday (I was going to for other reasons - I didn't see this coming!)
In addition to my last comment I would also state that Chile is an excellent landing pad for expansion into the rest of LATAM. Indeed biz intel and landing services was a core part of my work at the British Embassy there.
I feel this is an area where I can actually offer some insight! I used to work in Chile for the British Government. I feel that the RNS conflates the unbanked rates in LATAM with rates in Chile - Chile is highly banked and has a very advanced economy compared with some of it's LATAM neighbours. Chileans have a real thirst for credit and everything is (dangerously) offered on credit there, even if you go to the supermarket they'll ask if you want to pay for your shopping in 10 monthly instalments (with interest, of course!). I think this is a positive step, and I'll be keeping my ear to the ground with Chilean friends and expats about the use of DCB, but I also think they overstate the unbanked nature of the country (and consequently the overstate the benefit of a DCB).
Looks good to me, especially the net debt reduction and the pipeline of agreed and of prospective business.
Looks like Neil Woodford & the gang increased their position by ~1% yesterday and the price has found some resilience again since the sharp drop. Good sign?
if only I had bought in so early!! Mind, you have to count your blessings - I bought in at 1500/1600 so I feel pretty damn lucky!

Stone me Rodders it's flyin'!
This is a highly illiquid stock with a low EMS Gino, it will bounce around massively based on buy/sell prices. I'd expect a preliminary results released within the next few months.
HL is showing me a 2716p sell price at thte moment!? Sell: 2,716.00p | Buy: 2,300.00p
