I just really hope the sales are above the broker forecasts and the direct of travel tomorrow is conclusive. Will be an extremely pleasant moment just sitting back and watching the shenanigans play out with no temptation to mess about trading.
It is possible that what Holgate meant was we've seen the p2 results and the science backs this up. Still, with a chance that they've peaked at the data on top of all the other positive signs, it was enough for me to go not just all in but to also lump the kitchen sink in with it also (I can wash my hands in the bath).
This fall does make a considerable difference, it can be looked on as the sell off that often occurs on results morning. I think those sellers will largely be out now and won't view the share price as overheated and so any decent numbers and we should rise and hold.
I personally considered selling into a rise if we were opening up £14+ but won't now whatever happens. If we open up £14+ it means results are stellar and I'll sit back and relax and just see where we end up.
You are just describing a trader and it's not as easy as it seems. It takes a lot of discipline and an ability not to get any FOMO and just emotionally detach from any share. Even with the shares you observe that are flying you need to be in them before they start flying...
I've been in synairgen since 40p and took a few off the table above 220p but we didn't all stick with it because we were kindly supporting the company. We stuck with it as there was every chance of an EUA landing or something dramatic in the peak of the pandemic that could have seen a rerate. With hindsight i'm sure we'd all like to have derisked substantially and bought back in at 80p.
RE: German authorities block use of AstraZeneca vaccine for over-65s28 Jan 2021 15:06
That's fair enough and makes sense but wouldn't it also make sense to then play it safe and hold off vaccinating that subset of people until the requisite trial data is in? They've accumulated their safety data from the younger age group and now they need more evidence that it's effective enough on the over 65s?
The 'tens of millions of dollars' funded by the US government would, in normal times, require a placing and dilution up to as much as 10%. This really is rather undervalued right now...
