I also think the pandemic made many of us lose sight of what good investment returns are, aiming for 1000%+ returns and thinking anything less is a poor ROI. That's crazy and in reality profit is profit.

Alinz, I've shifted in my view on market size because of the efficacy against serious illness, not because of the 70% figure, or 95% figure or whatever. I don't worry about it too much though because drug development companies aren't valued on sales, on a p/e in line with the market, they are valued on potential. The potential for SNG001 as a broad spectrum antiviral is still massive and the value of the company is still small (£320m)

I wanted to end with a big positive so I wouldn't be branded a deramper trying to drag the price down!

Loads on here were praising that poster for being 'spot on' with their £1 prediction and I got ridiculed for arguing that this won't go below the placing price. I know there's nothing magical about a placing price but in this instance it was likely to act as a floor of sorts in which to bounce off - too soon to say but SP is holding up just find currently.

I should add I wouldn't be surprised if SNG is seen as a tool in the toolkit against the potentially problematic winter of flu ahead of us in 2021.

Matt great post. I don't refute any of that and it's why I'm holding rather than selling out. I was pointing out the main reason I believe the share price has struggled of late and it isn't RM, it is the fact that vaccines are looking highly efficacious against illness. It affects the share price because the urgency for treatments isn't what it would be otherwise - the urgency worldwide still revolves around vaccines and improving the rollout in Europe and the ROW.

The activ trial is designed to prevent people who catch covid needing hospitalisation and the vaccine does that - it means in theory if we get approved for at home use the only individuals who will be given sng will be those who are unvaccinated and test positive.

I'm in here because we don't know yet how much of an effect future variants will have, I'm in here for stockpiling, I'm in here for other respiratory ailments, I'm in here as a first line of defence against future novel viruses. Still, for me the investment case is a little weaker than it was 3 months ago.

I imagine as much as you are frustrated at RM you are also just frustrated at how this has played out. I know you along with others thought Activ 2 would propel us to £3 a share but the biggest factor in the share price imo is the exceptional vaccine data. We can't be invested here and not believe the science and the science is saying that if you are vaccinated you are highly unlikely to get seriously ill from covid. Eventually the vast majority of americans will get vaccinated as they won't want to get ill and rack up huge medical bills.

I'm still invested here because there will still be issues around variants and I see strong results as a proof of concept for other respiratory ailments and as a first line of defence against future novel viruses. I'm also not keen to sell anymore of my holding at 160p after selling some at 175 a few weeks back. I know for sure though if I had believed the vaccines were going to be this effective back in November after the early pfizer data I would have sold out of all my stocks with a covid emphasis and moved money into beaten up ftse stocks. Instead I sold national express, cineworld etc in late November thinking real life data would show that the vaccines weren't so effective after all.

Question for the board. We know monoclonal antibodies are highly effective but also very specific. We know they are unlikely to have any effect against variants further down the line... How hard is it for the likes of Eli Lilly to get new, tweaked monoclonal antibody ****tails approved? Is it as easy as it will be for the vaccine manufacturers or will they need to go through the clinical trial stages once again?

If it's the latter we know they won't be able to do that and there will be hardly any competition for SNG001. Does anyone know how this works?

Completely agree Doc. Of course it's important to see the positives but if in January we were told that we would be coming online in some of these countries by April many of us would have run for the hills. Remember how frustrated the board was on the whole that we failed to get the P3 underway before christmas?!

If we were relying on P3 alone the share price would have collapsed by now imo, fortunately we aren't and we have important news in the immediate future.

It's not simply about listing on the nasdaq, it's the individual circumstances that matter. I invested here for the first time a few weeks ago after watching from the sidelines. Why? I believed (and still do to a degree) that the steady rise in the price from December was the start of a rerate to a new higher level. I don't think it's as simple as being valued equal to say EVLO because I believe 4d pharma's outlook is far brighter and more exciting than EVLO and other companies in the same space. I believed that listing on the nasdaq would be a factor in continuing that momentum since December with the possibility of reaching as high as we were in October.

I still hope we will find a new base possibly as much as 50% higher than we are now in the not too distant future.

I love how you adore being seen to be right and yet you admitted the other day that although tempted to, you didn't sell in the 150s Monday because you also didn't know what was going to happen. Sure there are always a few mindless rampers but the average person sees listing on nasdaq as a big positive for the company and every chance of the share price rallying closer to the other nasdaq listed microbiome -focused stocks.

Expecting this to be sitting at £2 by now is foolish and shows a complete lack of knowledge of the share market, hoping for this to settle around the £1.50 mark is not that unrealistic. It's been a disappointing week but largely irrelevant for those like me that see this as a core long term holding.

It's extremely unlikely to reach the discounted placing price unless the wider markets really take a tumble. There is a lot going for this share, fully funded well into 2022 now and we've listed on nasdaq. To say KD37 is 'spot on' is a little bit of an exaggeration. IF this drops to £1 this week then KD was 'spot on' - I don't think it will hit placing price though, let alone £1. Hands up if i'm wrong.

I'm not saying there's not manipulation going on but I don't believe we'd be down if buys outweighed sells 10 fold.

It's not codswallop, it is true that you cant trust the reported buys vs sells, it doesn't give a true reflection of what's going on. Sure if you spend your days working out whether every single trade is either a buy or sell that's different, but I can't imagine that's how you're really spending your Thursday? Even then it's not always possible to determine what's a buy and what's a sell.

Buys are not 10 times sells, if they were we'd be well up today - it's just the algorithm getting buys and sells wrong because the bid and ask are so close.

£1 is rubbish, it won't go 10% lower than the placing price. It's turned out he isn't miles off though, whether through luck or knowledge.

Considering the wider market BMN actually holding up okay today. Searching for positives I know but a positive all the same!

CR, I said it was a silly hypothetical because yes the share price would be considerably lower if no news at all until June, much lower. Why? We'd be wondering what the hell is going on with the home trial results and why they are taking half a year! We'll be questioning if there's any point of Activ 2 if we are still trundling through the P2 part in June.

But we will get news soon, almost certainly in the first couple of weeks of April.

I'm saying this for your benefit and those around you, please now stop with your threads encouraging others to sell out of one company and into another. Once again you came on here bombastically two days ago telling us we should sell out of SNG and buy into ARB as you had done copious amounts of research and big things were about to happen there. You haven't a clue what you are talking about and when it comes to things like bitcoin it's really quite reckless to make the posts you make, many will lose fortunes because of people like you.

Since your post SNG has indeed fallen but it's fallen 3% whilst ARB has fallen about 16% and is likely going lower as bitcoin accelerates downwards. It's perfectly fine to promote the stocks you are invested in but coming on another BB, telling them to sell up and come back later is really quite bad form.
