I think it's healthy to acknowledge that point of view (vaccines = little demand for sng001) and point out that I, for example, some what agree with it and STILL see the investment case as positive...

To be fair Fruits Happy is referring to vaccines keeping hospitalisations to a very low level, Europe is suffering for that very reason - the vaccine rollout has been **** poor.

I think hearing from people like Happy DOES provide balance. You've got those that think this is a poor investment because of the effectiveness of vaccines, you've got those who still think we will sell tens of millions of treatments for covid on the other side, and then you have people like me who lean towards Happy in regards to this pandemic but am won over by the interferon story and recognise the value in having such an effective drug to treat respiratory illnesses including future coronaviruses and COPD (as well as covid, just in smaller numbers).

Let's be honest with ourselves, since the first talk of Activ 2 the situation has changed somewhat. Sure cases will continue at a reasonable level but one would expect hospitalisations to remain low from here on out. We all thought filling phase 2 would be a walk in the park followed swiftly by phase 3. As it stands I think phase 2 won't take much longer but if we have to wait for phase 3 to complete we will be waiting some time, it's increasingly important that phase 2 results (activ 2) are strong enough to receive EUA alongside the Home Trial results without having to wait for the phase 3s to complete.

Can I just say something Brent (in the nicest way possible) and I'm not putting you down at all but this one really gets me - we can't be 'literally treading water', metaphorically maybe, but not literally.

Absolutely, I just think being willing to sell at a loss is one of those simple things that separate successful investors/traders and unsuccessful. It's all too common for people to wait and wait and wait to edge back into profit before selling when there were much better places to have their money during that time.

There really doesn't, we've been told Q2 and nothing more. It would surprise me if we haven't had news by about Friday the 9th though for the Home Trial and some Activ 2 related news could theoretically land any day.

To be fair that's not true. It's taken about eighteen months for the virus to mutate to the point that boosters are needed - the current vaccines are based off the genetic material taken from the virus in early January 2020.

As this virus Sars CoV 2 mutates at approximately half the speed of influenza, it follows that new vaccines will be needed every two years - possibly with a booster in between.

I haven't actually done the calculation, probably closer to 40% increase.

Factoring in the share dilution aren't we talking almost 50% increase in holding?!
