I truly believe that Graham and the team are laser focused on the medium term, that goal of becoming a midcap company. They will be mightily frustrated by the developments as news like we received puts a massive dent on those ambitious medium term plans but the course they have currently chosen (silence) will in their opinion be the best course of action at this time. I'm not deluded enough to think no news is good news but equally I can't see any 'material difference' affecting the companies' ability to continue growing.

Then there's those that think Graham and the board are corrupt and are just doing everything for their own personal interest. If I'm wrong and the cynical types are right then all of us currently holding are well and truly stuffed!

I notice that no-one is providing a value-argument against Bushveld...which I see as a +ve.
I mean...no-one even addresses the obvious (e.g. will Vanadium be the element of choice in future VRFBs).

I wasn't suggesting it'd be approved, I just think a lowball offer that tests the reserve of shareholders is a distinct possibility now. £0.5b is hardly much of a risk to big pharma wanting more of a diagnostics presence is it?!

For six months I've sat quietly whilst hundreds of investors speculated about a take over, I just never considered it very likely. Now though I'm not so sure and reckon a low ball offer in the range of £7-£10 a distinct possibility.

It's a late reported trade at 369.35, absolutely no way of knowing whether a buy or sell.

BMN are now valued just £20m more than what FAR reached a week or so ago.

IMO this would be about £5.50-£6 today if there was no DHSC dispute. A 55% upside from today's price if there's an amicable agreement? I'll take it!

Yourgene, a very similar company to novacyt, a great one to compare to.

Mcap just under half of ours. Rev for full year expected to be £18-£20m. Ebitda slight loss, £12m left in the bank following an equity raise last year. Hope to reach profitability next year.

For novacyt to drop another 50% we'd need to have a comparable outlook to that!

The reason barnetpeter is that approximately £2 is propped up by the cash pile alone. There is zero appetite for the shares whilst the silence continues but there is only so low it can be pushed before even the most disinterested investors will be unable to refuse the opportunity.

It has, plain and simple. Profit warnings invariably cause sell offs. Investors will not hold shares in the company during periods of such uncertainty. There will be many on the sidelines waiting for more clarity before making their next move.

As the share price falls I am choosing to take the risk and buy more as I think barring some extreme escalation/development I will make considerable returns on any investment I make at £3.65 a share.

Nova Sight, personally I think the lack of contract extension was more or less priced in. What wasn't was the dispute and the possible material impact on the full year results...

Companies valued at £250m are very rarely profit making and when they are that profit is usually about £10m. You don't have to be selective to see this is true. This valuation is 'assuming' there is serious further damaging news to come, it is pricing it in already.

Chris, it's mad isn't it?! In a month's time the issue with DHSC could be resolved, new tenders revealed and the strategic long term plan laid out. Sure there's some risk still evidently but I'm adding one last time at 366...

Gazman, completely agree with you. There is absolutely no way GM isn't aware of the frustration, anger and general disbelief at the share price and how things have unfolded but for now he evidently believes getting on with the job is the best option and letting the share price recover naturally over time. For balance there is obviously further bad news that could realistically come, for example revising down the figures from Q4 substantially and leaving our cash position much less robust. I don't expect it though and think the phrase 'be greedy when others are fearful' has never been more apt. It's not a phrase I usually use but in this case, although the downside risk is real, the risk/reward is very good from here.
