It was great yesterday seeing everyone putting so much effort into posting BMN related content on twitter and hopefully it caught the attention of a few new investors. However it's hard to get people excited in a stock all the whole the share price is dwindling down so here's a thought - last Friday's update put a dampener on things here which is proving to take a bit of time to shake off but with V prices rising day after day we know it's going to happen and we'll see a reversal soon. So, when that does happen, tomorrow, next Tuesday, Thursday the 3rd June I don't know, why don't we try a similar thing but whilst the share price is actually rising?

I think spamming twitter with positive BMN related tweets all the while the share price is soaring would give us a material boost...

I would pay good money to watch Pearls attempt to build a portfolio of stocks - I can just picture it now 'Right, what stock exchange is Woolworths on? What about Borders? Bookshops are the future. And let's add some C&A and Comet'

I nearly bought some Hive shares after the crash yesterday as a bet on ETH but don't usually invest in Canadian shares - is the charge about 1% per trade buying Canadian stocks Caveman?

There is so much potential around genomic surveillance and variant testing - whilst we all moaned a bit about Graham and the BOD failing to prop up the share price maybe they really were getting all the building blocks in place to push towards that midcap status after all? I'm starting to believe it...

In other words the ideal combination for Argo would be a prolonged period of volatility (and possibly lower BTC) all the while still HODLing every coin mined followed by BTC rocketing further down the line?

Don't forget Argo also mines Zcash to make up its BTC & BTC equivalents and that's under half the ATH of just eight days ago now. I'm sure Argo will do just fine but the road to recovery will take time. If you start predicting 150 or 170 by the end of the day or whatever you might be disappointed, it's going to take time to return to the sort of level that was seen a few months ago.

Not quite right Steve, May 12 is when World Quant crossed the 0.5% declaration threshold - I imagine they've been shorting all the way down for the past few months, probably ever since the nasdaq excitement died down...

Our anti vaxxer compatriots the other side of the channel were more than happy owning novacyt shares last year at prices much higher than today.

Airport testing is the biggest money spinner of all for ncyt having moved early to position themselves for this market - if testing goes on even until the end of the year in the way it's been mooted I think our cash pile will get pretty damn close to our current market cap!

Well for starters those revenues are unknown as there's a dispute with the DHSC and we don't know how much we're making outside of DHSC and Unicef. We aren't valued on any sort of standard forward P/E because there are no forecasts to go on besides very vague guesses in the old Numis broker note - so we are basically back on a 2 x best guess cash basis.

Surely, surely by now Graham knows that the company needs to project confidence and optimism in the next serious update - I would be bloody amazed if the language isn't the polar opposite to previous vague uncertain forecasts... and I think it will wake investors up and see the share price do what it did after the end of the year trading update - except the reverse. A gentle, continual slide up 50 odd percent.

A good company to offer some sort of comparison for novacyt - today they upgrading full year forecasts. They put out a detailed growth plan today the sort I really hope we are soon to see from Graham and the BOD https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/EKF/agm-statement-2qmhqi2o9tyx6i7.html

Generated £13.5m cash in 2020 giving them net cash of £21.4m (I believe it's not all covid direct revenue so not an exact comparison). Their mcap is now a fair bit higher than novacyt's at £336m. Why? Well the update is full of bullish language and optimism.

If we get something similar to what they put out today on top of sitting on a £140m cash pile we will surely see our valuation far in excess of their £330m...

Mcap as of this moment £430m. With bitcoin at $36k and mining ~200 BTC a month going forward until next halving and taking away mining costs, administrative costs, remuneration and a best guess at depreciation costs... I make net profit to be something like $38.4m profit a year or £27.2m. So you are looking at a P/E value of ~16.

Right now at $36k the valuations seem about right to me. If you think bitcoin is going to be higher this time next year it's a raging buy, otherwise this isn't going to be tempting just yet. ATB to all of you whether you're in and holding, in and topping up or sold!

We are basically priced to make about £15m yearly from 2022/2023 and beyond after reinvesting all the hundred odd million quid of cash. It's possible but I fancy our chances of developing into a far bigger, more profitable company than that...

110p Xenor although for obvious reasons I'm not taking that now. I never was convinced in the long term durability of bitcoin but believed this bull run (I think like you) would see BTC exceeding $100k - I'm now not so sure but still think the potential reward could well be worth the risk here if it drops lower.
