There's now a total lack of anticipation, expectancy, of excitement. There's no news we are sitting and waiting for now the LFT is delayed, it's simply a case of recognising we are undervalued on a fundamental basis and waiting for it all to play out or something left field catches the market out like the DHSC resolution or maybe a major new contract.

There is equally no obvious rush for people to take positions despite the share price falling so low.

Take another company like Omega Diagnostics... both companies rose tremendously off the back of selling/manufacturing/ the hype of covid tests. Both companies were a similar market cap pre covid, with omega just a little larger than us.

In 2020 we turned over £277m and made a profit of £132m. ODX turned over £8m with a loss of £2m.
Our mcap is now £185m, and they are £88m - almost half!

There is a little more to it obviously but there are countless examples like this.

sibonas you said the same thing the other day and I agreed wholeheartedly with you. The reason I'm so heavily invested in novacyt is that whilst the future is rather unknown what isn't unknown is that novacyt have built strong relationships globally including with Unicef and the WHO, they have an amazing R&D department and will have around £100m to help them to transform this company beyond covid.

And it's still more than possible that covid revenue doesn't dry up like many expect and we justify a higher share price from that alone...

Right now the company is valued at about £185m - throwing money at any AIM share is somewhat of a gamble but these are odds I am pretty comfortable with.

ATISHA if there is a full blown stock market correction/crash I can assure you novacyt will come out of it a thousand times better than all these others that rely on refinancing/raises to continue operations - it's partly why I've moved so much more back into novacyt as a hedge against a crash.

Not only that but many companies ncyt might currently have in their sights to acquire will become half the price.

I waited and waited and finally took 201p for just shy of £20k.

Fair enough Dan, that's understandable. I'm waiting to see if this settles even lower in the coming weeks but there's no question it's a good price to get in now - GL.

Yeah the point is that net cash is closing in half the market cap, not just cash - plenty of companies will have close to that percentage from a massive placing alone.

We are also a high margin profitable business so in theory if we weren't to reinvest it in expansion it would be possible for it to creep even closer to the market cap valuing the rest of the business at zero.

And if you do find one it'll probably be in the coal industry - nobody will touch that now!

You won't find a single company matching that description, it's pretty unheard of. What's being priced in is a total loss to the DHSC in the dispute resolution and also a failure to maintain profitability in 2022.

Neither of which are likely.

It is exactly that, unsubstantiated chatter - some of us are a little frustrated that they've been accumulating cash rather than using it for growth and expansion, why on earth would they try to raise £40m before using the other £80m odd? It isn't happening.

I imagine David will get stock options but it isn't going to be significant enough to affect the share price.

I echo that, there is virtually zero chance of a placing with novacyt. Placings generally happen for two reasons, (i) when it is essential for financing/expansion and (ii) when the directors take advantage of a massively inflated share price. The former doesn't apply to us and the latter certainly doesn't!

I'm not even holding any Argo shares, it's just I've seen this scenario play out hundreds of times and it's always the PIs that get burnt.

I just want to say to all of you holders who are struggling to understand why bitcoin is going up whilst Argo continues to flounder - this WILL reverse with certainty if BTC continues to show strength. The shorts will be digging their heels in hoping to see a sell off from the operational update tomorrow/Wednesday or from a drop in bitcoin but there's only so long it will last.

Not only will it reverse if bitcoin keeps climbing, the rise will probably be sharp and exaggerated to the other extreme - if bitcoin goes on a run to $100k this side of christmas I would not be surprised if Argo runs well past (even if briefly) all time highs.

It's important not to forget that whilst we are forecasted to turnover £100m this year GM is not the overstating type - would be no surprise if the actual figure comes in a good bit higher than guidance.

The simplest answer is probably just terribly unlucky timing - Argo's listing on the nasdaq coincided with one of the worst fortnights for the index in a while.
