They might buy shares to reduce the total paid, but the bought shares do not come with voting rights attached.

Completely right, the interims pretty much CANT be positive, but it does mean they need to be considered negative. The cash position is the only interesting part though I presume they'll include some sort of forward looking statement.

It's actually not a bad raise price and a good amount. Should put a very solid foundation under the SP for the medium term and a lot of prospects on a lot of fronts. I'm going to hold out for the 8.3 then take a load.

So seems like financially very healthy just bugger all revenue and seems he market (read share price) Is effectively saying that they do not expect significant revenue, or the company to turn a profit before their cash runs out. If they were to somehow turn profitable in the next year this would go sky high.

It's a shame companies like this can't just fold and pay everyone the significant cash position

Cash burn of about $6.5m dollars per years

I haven't looked at trellus for a while but what's the cash position here now, roughly? I thought they had bundles of cash Vs Mcap and if thats still the case, why would there be a placing coming?

It doesn't make much difference at all to the total offer if GTE falls.

What I would like to know is why aren't GTE themselves buying everything they can up to offer price, to push the vote through

If the gte share price falls, do they have to give more as part of the offer? Ie is the amount tied to the value or the number of shares (eg one GTE share for every 10 i3e, regardless of GTE share price - plus the cash offer of course)

U have to remember a lot of the initial offers are lowball to make their "genuine" offer look more attractive when it comes. Similar to what happened at SHG. They might get lucky and have the first voted through, but more likely they'll increase by another 5-10%

So with GTE falling 8.5% yesterday, the current implied offer is 12.73 rather than the 13.92 of yesterday. It's annoying how tied the deal is to GTE

Isn't the offer price dependant on the GTE share price though? Hypothetically if GTE fell 60% overnight, wouldn't that make the offer below the original SP?!

What are the details of the mix and match offer, what is the limit to how much you can take in cash Vs shares

Can anyone tell me why the SP would be so far below offer price? Scenario one, the buy out goes ahead at over 10% premium 2, scenario 2 it doesn't go ahead and the company is likely worth more anyway?
