I hope you don’t mind but I always felt strongly Haggis you was Tim Yeo you just had a real political feel to me - he may have held his shares in a safe also :-) and you also have so much overall knowledge on this industry but that’s the beauty of user names just adds to the mystery so in the end it does not matter either way
I appreciate Haggis (your) posts it has helped bring a lot of back to the board for mainly a reader of the board such as myself. the research speed and links is just on another level
in my opinion though readers should be careful to only take in what’s needed from this board - stay level headed and balanced And keep doing your own research

Was there anything since the AFC 2020 presentation mentioning the military I reminded BB2 on that a while back - strange if not could point towards keeping that under their hat if talks progressed ?
Confirmed opportunity for diesel offset in sectors ranging from: Ports
Construction
Mining / oil and gas
Remote communities and islands
Military

I wonder if there is any link here as a possible client with afc it also picked up a like from an afc employee ?
http://ciercoenergy.com/about/
They are inVolved in off shore wind farms but sometimes need to look at possible alternative back up to the grid using fuel cells on some projects where there is a need - they have offices in Scotland and California - AFV did do the Dundee dash so may be they have been aware of us for a while
Taken from below link
recognised that the Central Californian sites of Morrow Bay and Diablo Canyon have positive opportunities for grid connection, whilst not having as favourable wind resource as the Humboldt area. The Humboldt area by contrast has excellent wind resources but presents more problematic issues for connecting to the local grid at a commercial scale (i.e. 500MW and above).
These contrasting aspects pose an interesting challenge in exploiting the available wind resource in a commercially advantageous way. Through our technology development plan, Cierco aim to gain practical data to feed into their financial projections to ensure that the appropriate technology combination is selected for each area.
Taking this forward, Cierco will explore the potential efficiencies of larger turbines to be utilised in the Central Californian area, which may make up for lower class of wind. Humboldt’s current spare capacity to use or export power from the area is significantly less than the capacities which would be targeted for a commercial scale project. Therefore, to undertake an offshore wind project within this area will require significant (and expensive) grid reinforcement (via an offshore export cable or significant overland works). Cierco are exploring the opportunity for alternatives to traditional electrical grid export for power; such as the deployment of fuel cell technology, which in the longer term could be utilised to stabilize the wider energy system by absorbing excess off-peak renewable energy generation during periods of low demand.

Maybe some of the more informed posters will be able to determine if I’m way off
Looks slightly different set up from images or is it just me ?

For those who don’t use linked in or are interested in a current known amount of employees at AFC I have drawn up a list as accurately as I can based only on linked in members
This excludes employees who do not use or have a linked in profile
I orininaly wanted to find out more on testing staff and technical staff seeing as we have been sending parties out alongside our FC to extreme e and also ABB - I wanted to try and find out who went out to ABB in Estonia not exe as that was obvious but I was unsuccessful in identifying them anyway listing here rather than deleting

Mace are also very busy in this area Neom and the idea is to showcase a limited number of these units in strategic high profile sites not just in the uk but around the world in early 2022 and to use their powers to influencethe rental hire companies maybe there is a three way link
latest article in Arabian Business on how UK companies such as Solar Water, AFC Energy, Wood and Chinook Sciences are helping to deliver innovative renewable energy solutions in the Middle East with forward-thinking local governments and companies such as Bee'ah and NEOM #COP26Glasgow

Good luck all LTH
Great to see the managing director of Aggreko posting specifically about AFC a couple of weeks back so sorry if already posted
Chris Rason wrote
It's great to see businesses like Mace making the move to zero-emission hydrogen generators.
We are looking to reduce the diesel fuel used in customer solutions and decrease local air quality emissions by at least 50% by 2030, investing in greener solutions and helping our customers achieve their goals
AFC 2020 general report mentions
Large corporates (Cummins, Aggreko, Caterpillar) now actively reviewing low emission alternatives to diesel
Sorry Heath i could not resist Im sure it’s been doing the rounds I got it posted to me at the same time of checking in made me laugh amongst about 5 other more funny ones I won’t share on this board it’s been a nightmare all day in my area of hertfordshire complete lunacy .
What makes it worse is my wife has hurt her arm falling in the bathroom and so rather than wait 6-8 hours at a and e and being short on fuel we will go to our local walk in at 8-30 instead -
Everything is not as easy as it once was at the moment lets hope it improves .
So, after seeing the news last night about fuel shortages, I popped in to Tesco at 0530 when I should have been sleeping! I spoke to a very nice tanker driver who was rather informative and told me that the boats carrying fuel are arriving daily at Plymouth, the two depots in Plymouth are extremely well stocked and there is no shortage of drivers. His only concern was news articles misleading the public. He finished by explaining that it is only BP who have issues. Back to bed....
I’m liking who ever writ this part of the article

AFC Energy
AFC Energy is the producer of alkaline fuel cells which utilizes hydrogen for power generation. The company’s H-Power technology platforms successfully handles the affordability and quality and provides lowest cost fuel cells in the market. AFC Energy is now taking over the market with its H-Power technology. The research and development of AFC Energy has achieved many milestones
A good for any one wishing to download the free document great insight into Data centres
Seems like Mace do have a strong reputation for the construction of new centres offering a complete package - a bit of a mention on Hydrogen fuel cells in there as well - let’s hope AFC are in their thoughts when presenting ideas to prospective clients .

I’d expect/hope this could be one of the test points for an AFC Hydrogen generator in early 2021
timing could be exactly right for us on this project secured by MACE a real flagship site -
I’m very confident. This fits the bill
