We can go on about threats to VRFB's but commercial viability of many solutions need somebody to take a big financial risk.
Elon Musk got into billions of debt with Tesla when all the shorters/big companies doubted him. He risked everything but it allowed electric cars and Lithium large scale storage hit the limelight,
BMN are being the disruptors here and taking the financial risk also, getting the name out for VRFB's out.
I also wonder with BMN having access to Iron ore as it was originally an Iron-ore explorer that it could adapt to having a separate iron facility. As well as the V side of things in Mokopane.
Say iron-flow batteries took off in 5 years and assuming BMN are a massive V miner/flow battery manufacturer with lots of money in the bank. I think FM would probably have it in him to adapt to this and produce both.
Therefore I would not even see Iron-flow batteries as a threat and FM has said he would look at the iron side of operations if the price of iron was around $100.
