In addition to the initial mini-grid project at Vametco, Bushveld Energy has been tasked with devising self-generation options for all of Bushveld's existing and future electrical energy needs at its operations in South Africa. With current aggregate loads of 21MW that are expected to increase to over 50MW after the expansion and refurbishment programmes, this need has the potential of more than 125MW of solar PV and 180MWh of battery energy storage systems within Bushveld's facilities.

Don't forget 1MW/4MWh was enough for 8% of power at Vametco. I assume thats the high end assumption before expansions and electrolyte plant. So 20-25MW probably allows the facility to be off grid.

Well I think the electrolyte plant won't be built until Vametco is expanded as the EIA is combined I assume. Can't remember when they are planning the next phase expansion from the top of my head but as it is mentioned in an RNS.

Vametco's phase 3 expansion will be in line with VRFB's taking out vanadium from the market, therefore you build an electrolyte plant next to it to produce more electrolyte.

Another important jigsaw piece coming together.

Diatom I think the IDC Supported project went to East London in the end to keep in line with government incentives.
However it does make sense to have another plant next to the mines to reduce transportation costs etc. We all know 200MWh won’t be enough and neither will 800MWh per annum if things take off!

There was a vertically integrated vanadium startup I saw in SA. Think it started with T and had a website I once posted a link of. You’d think it is just something like that for a T/O worth a few million squid!

The fact an established utility (EDF) was involved will be of interest to other utilities (not just Eskom) when it comes to tendering battery storage projects. Hopefully free marketing in the UK and Europe is performed from this project.

James for what its worth I don't think you mean any malice but just trying to defend your opinion with facts you see. It's beyond my non-accounting background and i'm sure we will find out in the future what is correct.

Paul good spot on th $34.3 average price for China, which likely implies there is a $3 premium for Nitrovan as I've not seen it any higher than $30-32kg/V on Argus China prices.

I think when many people nit-pick on cash in the bank and profit's they fail to see that they paid for Vanchem, Enerox and Invinity stakes with mainly cash in the space of a year. Not many AIM companies can do that without major dilution or time to build funds and there is a reason for doing so. If they wanted to make the SP more attractive they could have remained a V miner with $60m in bank and paid a dividend but there is a longer term goal that trolls do not want you to believe in. Get out of the box and see the bigger picture as Fortune knows short term pain is necessary for long term gain.
