The funny thing is, if BMN did nothing after 2018 but kept going with Vametco at 3300-4000mtV with loads of cash in the bank (from the spike) for regular dividends and standard maintenance, the SP would be still around 40-50p no doubt. There would be little expectation except to be efficient as possible and with super low production costs as we have seen at times in the $16-$17 area making profits even during the low peaks. Amazing really but there would be no room to grow the SP beyond a certain peak.
FM made the decision to take the short term risk to expand faster by buying Vanchem and take on some debt/dilution for refurbishment. He had the foresight to see VRFB uptake that we are finally seeing now in China and around the world.
It has meant there are fingers in many complicated pies, missed targets and delays but if he is right then the future SP will be multiples of what we have seen.
Think about it the easy dividend route would have been very profitable for the BOD with their numerous shares, but they have bigger fish to fry, even if it does not help us or them in the medium term. I am frustrated like most on here and once we fly I hope we don't look back at these prices.
Have a good night folks and I enjoy all comments from the LTH's negative and positive.
