AFC Energy now in the Hydrogen ETF!!!!!!!!!24 May 2021 09:34
Three weeks ago I was looking at the L&G Hydrogen Economy UCITS ETF again. For those not aware of what this is "The Index is designed to provide exposure to equity securities of global companies that are actively engaged in the hydrogen economy". And "A company is only eligible for inclusion in the Index if it is of a sufficient size (determined by reference to the total market value of its shares that are publicly traded) and it is sufficiently "liquid" (a measure of how actively its shares are traded on a daily basis)."
I could see on the page that the Index get's it's listing from the Solactive Hydrogen Economy Index NTR.
I went and had a look at the Solactive Hydrogen Economy Index NTR and could see that AFC Energy was not listed. This prompted me to write to Solactive and tell them how surprised I was to fin that AFC was not listed.
I have been watching both the Solactive and L&G pages sine, and guess what, today AFC Energy is listed on both!!!!
This definitely happened last week (long enough for Solactive to DYOR on AFC for 2 weeks since I e-mailed them), as I checked last week and their data was to 14/05/2021.

What does this mean for AFC? Well, they are now way more visible to ii's, listed alongside the multi-billion valuation Fuel Cell and Hydrogen peers stocks. They are also in the ETF and are sure to be accumulated there over time. Any Fund Managers / ii's using the Index for the basis of a Hydrogen Fund will see AFC in it.
Solactive "Since 2007, we've been developing tailor-made and multi-asset class index solutions for ETFs and other index-linked investment products. Across the full spectrum of leading global investment banks and asset managers, our clients value our speed, flexibility, quality and can-do attitude."
I'm sure there will people claiming my email to Solactive was just a coincidence, but they don't know that and neither do I, but it IS possible that my e-mail got AFC into that index, that is what actually matters, because if you don't sow any seeds, you will never reap the rewards.
