We need more sane people like you............leveraged trading is the only reason the SP of a solid company like VOD is down. VOD is a stable income play and a bond proxy!

Told you to buy BT when came here but you thought VOD was safer..........BT has fallen more than 50% from highs so it was a better bet as it has some monopoly and hidden value in OR. It’s divi is better covered and operates quad play SKY.

I have just consulted with the oracle.........fear not my people, not all turkeys die at Xmas! Unattractive, less fatty, tiny ones get to live. VOD is that Turkey right now but we must be prepared to hold for longer and buy much lower....

Itv should relocate into a cheap warehouse! They don’t deserve a flagship HQ, use the funds to improve SVOD in order to generate more ad cash.

Shorts work for funds, they are cosy with MMs and brokers in the U.K. Carillion shorts helped big holders liquidate their positions without selling out directly. VOD shorts are trying to force losses on those divi hunters who piled in at 190p - 200p before the last ex divi date. Once they the deck is clean ......this would rise again.

Do you freaking know how much VOD got for Verizon stake? Go figure it out then come back here............A company like VOD doesn’t need to hype itself up like dodgy AIM companies. Companies like VOD issue bonds which pension funds are dying for.........its better to pay coupons to pension funds than pay more tax. If a company has no debt then it will pay more tax to the government. The relationship with funds work out better as they are ready to fund the company in the future in case of huge investment opportunities.

Thank you for your honesty mate, please make yourself a promise to quit CFDs and Spreadbets once you get through this one. In order to hedge, there are other ways........if pound is going to fall against dollar.......just buy a gold etf. If stock markets are falling then buy gold etf / short dated government bonds (gilts or treasuries). Buy a company’s rival as a hedge (BT). Buy VOD bonds if they are attractive.

So you know the game but still acting naive, the more retail buyers buy........the more SP falls. The more retail traders sell, the more it will rise. Ocado, just eat, JD sport and fevertree comes to mind............stay true to fundamentals and value. Our job is to find value!

So impatient, nothing has gone wrong........just numbers ticking down on the screen. A reasonable investment should be yielding twice the inflation rate which is 5.2% so a divi cut won’t really affect VOD investment case. People need to know how strong the business is not just the SP. Stock market was created for big boys, small guys crying every minute allows big guys to scoop up more shares at deep discount.

Leverage is bad mate, the providers can ensure that you lose. I supported ESMA and now you know that 80% of retail traders lose all their cash and end up owing too. Please know that tiny guys don’t give big guys leverage, the big guys are only in the game to crush us. Wise up folks, stay away from leverage as it was designed to suck in more suckers.

Let it go down to 100p and I will still be happy to add, down to 50p and it’s all good. I’ll be going down to food banks soon at this rate as all cash go into VOD.........the love of my life!

I don’t feel sorry for any leveraged buyer here, it’s because of you guys that shorts win as you don’t have the patience and funds to buy real shares.

Some people here are just leveraged traders, VOD will be here forever guys as the world has to communicate and VOD brand is SEXY so the brand name would leave on if taken over. VOD debt is ok and highly serviceable as it has low interest rates. Stop moaning guys and buy some more........the pro traders are aggregating retail positions and hunting us down. All our positions (retail traders, private investors) are for the taking. The more they scare us, the bolder they get..........all private investor BBs are monitored.

I know but they have managed to eat up all the ad money. If a company can’t compete, they can at least join in by investing or copying rivals. Microsoft would be bigger today if they invested in Apple when iPods and iPhones were cool and zune was just dumb. ITV has to follow the ad money.......FB takes in $48 billion, ITV must be able to increase revenue to £5 billion.

VOD is super tempting, remortgaging keeps springing to my mind.

If not for pension burden, fancy GP and his hair, ofcom and lack of investment in digital / tech startups. Green light capital just bought into BT after dumping Apple and they think the company is very cheap.

BT and other big companies do waste millions on useless customer service workers. Best would be to be a cowboy company, no customer service.

Something so big is gonna happen if a bid doesn’t tumble in ASAP. I see this great company lead by dumb management who have sat in their arses and watched SVOD / online video advertising boom. Old, tired and despicable board members with no motivation other than safe pension / juicy LTIPs, bonuses and regular salary. Sky didn’t need taken over, they were doing ok. Now ITV needs an American makeover to be able to generate more ad revenue and expand its SVOD. iTV as a brand itself sounds cool but just can’t increase revenue..........

I got my 160p flat finally but it doesn’t look like the super support I hoped for.........150p sounds much sexier so guys prepare to buy some more! VOD will never rally until all retail and semi-pro traders are wiped clean. Stop complaining and buy more, if you don’t have spare cash........just switch off from watching VOD for 6 months.

Blackrock, vanguard, mutual and pension funds are in the market buying stocks for their income funds constantly. Do you think they want to pay more? Income funds only care about the yield as they will never sell up so they buy in big blocks off exchange. I guess the big brokers and MMs need retail traders to step up demand.
