Jester, You are right, contracts were still flowing in so all they had to do was to reduce cost, raise some cash to plug the hole then tell the government to bailout specific projects and not the whole company. I bet the government would have taken the bad projects from them. Then there is the big question of the last divi.......why pay it?

The weight of the law would be to refund our losses and pay a fine FCA as they always wait before starting an investigation. That investigation should have started in July after the warning which I still think was fabricated as it was known for years by the insiders.

Jester, That�s too perfect, how about 1 billion new shares at 50p(huge discount) while it was trading at 70p - 80p. That is extra 500 million to reduce cost and improve balance sheet. No way, the directors never had a dire cost cutting program............Coch must be investigated for his depressive way in handling CLLN and why he loves high interest loans instead of begging shareholders for money in return for sharp cost cuts.

Howson was the guy that kept the Ponzi going and he could have found a way to raise equity and keep things going. Coch was drafted in by the shorts to liquidate the company.............Can we sue the directors? Please guys as I think the directors actions were very fraudulent. They never tried to cut cost or try to raise cash from investors. Coch never said, ok no execs will get paid more than 40k a year and all staff would take home 25k average pay for the next 3 years. Useless guys......I could have saved CLLN

No change in the outlook and costs have not been cut as expected hence no spike. This dog should be trading over 60p

Taz, I hope you find a better company very soon. CLLN told us everything was fine in December 2016, paid huge divi in 2017 then collapsed in January 18..........the execs should all be facing civil lawsuits. No need for jail just huge clawback plus fines.

The no.1 question still is........why pay divi when cash profit was just a dream? How can you justify borrowing money just to overpay dumb, useless execs? Also I still think the government is the best customer as they can never run out of cash and you can easily overcharge them......ask G4S how! My answer is that the divi was used to prop up the sp, they borrowed money from shorters who have since made their money back by shorting the shares.

I thought GD was bad until Carillion went belly up! At least we turned down an offer so there is value hidden somewhere.......just gotta wait until GD decides to unlock it.

IsoBod, Can you justify loaning a fking useless company like Carillion when they used millions to pay unnecessary dividends and excessive executives pay. Why must fat cats be overpaid........they need to claw all the cash bonuses and divi from 5 years. Real workers deserve rescuing but not dumb fkers who think they are smart...........same guys ruining a company with great profile pay themselves millions in cash salary. We need companies whereby there is no fking executive.......just people working and getting paid per hour or by end result.

FD, I think gillpat is a pro but he needs to show us the money........spend some of that 300k profit, go on holiday, be happy and become a better person since you are rich why take a dump on us losers?

Ifionly, A company with a huge profile like that shouldn't do an ENRON. A little bit of this and that is acceptable but not a total wipe out. Lonmin raised cash after cash and eventually got bought out of their misery. Now that is what i like, keep the company going and don't insult the banks', government's and shareholders' intelligence.

You saw how much i complained, deep down in your soul you know that i didn't stay fully in. I sold most below 19p after they dampened the excitement. My last batch were sold at 14.89p........i left tiny bit in case the government buys into the ponzi.
