I only trade ETFs now, looking for boring 3% - 5% here and there. UK companies are just plunging for dumb reasons. Carillion could have taken some fresh investors cash at 100p, nope they let them go off and buy bitcoins. Coch is a useless guy. Stock market is about selling dreams and keeping it going........not crying. Anyone holding CPI should ask the board and management to take huge pay cut (living wage would be good). They can issue themselves free shares which would force them to pump up the SP. Cash salary and cash bonus is unhealthy for listed companies.

Jambon, I hope you�re doing good, I am not in CPI and never buying companies with no tangible asset like land, buildings. Look at Royal Mail, they have so much old buildings and land that they can sell to cover their butts when necessary.

700 million shares to be issued in February, just put your buy orders @ 100p. CPI will not do a CLLN but I still think the profit is not real.......I just hope CPI has been reporting profits on a cash basis.

I think some management team don�t do anything that improves the company�s revenue. In an Amazon world, cost cutting and simplifying management is key. To be honest less managers are needed but most staff should be paid well so that they can do their job properly without needing so many managers checking them out.

Listed companies are so rude that private investors need to focus on commodities, bonds and FX. Useless Execs with half baked plans that make no sense but only to insiders, shorters and the banks. Why announce rights issue without the price? Why is the CEO not slashing cash salary and ending all cash bonuses? Costs need to be brought down seriously or else it would end up like Carillion which should have collapsed 2 - 3 years ago but their insiders orchestrated the great short......keep paying divi while we short like crazy and take private investors money.

All execs should not be paid more than �100k cash salary until divi is restored, that will ensure that average wage staff are kept. The useless execs can top up to cash salary with share award bonuses only. Shareholders must not allow cash call money to pay excessive executives pay as they are not so smart and instead dumb.

Never believe underlying / adjusted profit figures..........cash is king and if a company doesn�t have cash then it needs to raise more cash and cancel divi. Carillion declared paper profits for years, paid cash divi from paper profits too.......you should be happy that the new ceo is sensible.

They should have cancelled divi since last year, they need to lay-off unproductive staff and outsource HR and other admin jobs. CPI can�t expect banks to lend it more money just to pay salaries, it needs to be slim, flexible and making cash profit. Paying divi when balance sheet is awful is like liquidating a company. Carillion did that and they knew what they were doing perfectly.

CPI, AA and TalkTalk are not cheap.......there balance sheet is crap and have few solid tangible assets. I think VOD, BT, CNA and SSE are cheap but still have enormous amount of debt! PFD needs fresh ownership (private) to strengthen the brands. Listed companies are starting to resemble government departments and council offices. Overpaid value destroyers doing F all.

Give GD some credit for attracting an offer in the first place. The U.K is a tough market for food as Brits would rather buy cheap food / pantry items while they waste money on cigarettes and booze. Shootiii, Depends on the region, Hermes does delivery of those online retailers in the south east and they use self employed couriers on 50p per delivery. DX needs to be as mean and evil like Hermes to make money as the market is very competitive.

DX along with others in the sector are running on tiny margins. They are signing contracts to deliver crap without factoring price increases, inflation and workers pay! Amazon and other online companies have squeezed logistics market.

Tens of millions in executive pay yearly for keeping the Ponzi going. Who would lend a useless company money, those divi plus exec pay could have bought them tangible assets. They could have build and part own projects over the years. No land, no buildings to sell.........just zero margin contracts.
