Oh that is gonna be the replacement of Cambridge analytica.

Mulder, The market always discount non core assets and focus on the noise so that dumb private investors can quickly take a loss. Market will also drive stock higher lying about a company�s potential thereby selling to dumb private investors at a great premium. Same thing just played out with RMG, city guys bought in below 400p and are offloading to dumb people at over 600p in less than 6 months.

Not sure anybody here believe oasis really care about PFD, they are not pushing Darby to change even with 9%. Hopefully the dumb analcysts got my messages and grow some balls to ask Darby to explain why we are trading significantly below 65p offer of April 2016 and to consider stepping down while the company is put up for sale. Nissin either has no balls or just impotent to go all in.

2re, We all know that the company should be trading near 65p but the evil Darby is pushing us lower on purpose. Something sick is going on and makes no sense. Complained to the FCA but I guess Darby is untouchable at the moment.

I know but with bond yields forecast to rise, life expectancy not surging anymore......a big lump sum upfront that can start generating money. Anything is possible but I know for sure that no company would want to waste productive time worrying about the pension deficit. They had it so good back then, most young guys now have zero hour contracts or self employment, zero pension liabilities on the company.

Tiny_tim, BT should position itself as a tech company not as a government company that it pretends to be. Generous pay, useless workforce, excess staff just playing bridge in the office. Cut the crap, learn from Amazon.............self employment for every BT worker with generous share bonus if performance and profit targets are met. Workers can be shareholders, profits up means more divi. Screw the dumb unions......I wonder why they never use those subscription money to buy shares in companies instead of striking they can sack the CEO. Unions are the dumbest thing still going on in today�s world.

Why can�t BT be bought, the pension scheme can be offloaded on to an insurer / fund like Aviva / LGEN if the buyer pays a one time premium say �5 billion cash. Companies should always move pension liabilities on to insurers / funds. Gilt yields are to blame as well as BOE for the huge pension deficit but I love the low rates as it keeps mortgage affordable.

Why would Amazon ever buy Wholefoods? Tangible assets are the only thing that ensures a company doesn�t disappear overnight. Why is Microsoft making its own laptops and why bother selling consoles? You know why blockbuster disappeared, it had nothing real that is worth selling. Take BT away, can the competition replace it quickly? A cash rich tech can buy BT not just to turn profit but to move us quicker to 5g / superfast fibre and beyond. BT would slim down and commercialise their properties (phone boxes). Do you guys know how much BT�s property / land estate is worth? RMG has same thing going for it, so much that you guys don�t understand. Hopefully the U.K market would resemble the American market one day. Too many pessimistic bastards in the U.K, no wonder they voted brexit......suicidal donkeys!

The services that BT provides is growing but the company does not know how to benefit from increased music streaming, video streaming, smartphones and so much more. Deutsche Telekom can�t buy Bt until next year so the offer must come from somewhere else fast or else we are going to stay low till next year.

350p is the minimum takeover offer but it would take just over 400p for the board to recommend it. I think tech companies with so much cash or easy access to cash must invest in communication infrastructures as it is vital for their core business. Tech companies should not rely on old school management in BT and other telecoms to do a great job. Apple can even buy BT in cash without feeling it, Berkshire could buy BT too but it seem Uk companies reward execs too much in cash. Gavin P is a useless spoilt boy.

Could easily buy BT for 35 - 40billion as they can raise money easily and buy tangible assets while gutting out the current useless management. The problem with Bt is not the pension or ofcom, it is management and leadership problem. BT can�t sit back and expect regulators / competitors to play nice. BT has to work twice as hard to stay at the top and this is what American companies do best. We are quite lame down here in the U.K, Sky�s bid is very generous but I guess the management over there don�t waste their time on fancy haircuts and acting like a government company.

Darby must have shorted indirectly as a hedge just as CLLN directors must have done as they can't be seen unloading shares.

Dumbest share ever, how does Darby go about running his mouth and lying over and over again? This bastard of a company held my money when RMG looked super cheap under 400p. Same with ITV under 150p and many more opportunities missed while Darby ruins the company. TSCO, SBRY, MRW have all rallied while we are stuck with a dodgy ceo.

over the longterm, just look at IAG and RMG chart to get some confidence to buy some more. If i had �100m, i would buy �1m worth of BT shares everyday.

davidphillips, Just keep buying mate, look at the tiny volume which means big boys are not unloading. The MMs are selling down tiny amount of shares which have been hedged already. This is just a market moving exercise to kill off private investors...........buy some now, save some money in case they offer you BT shares below 200p. EE was bought for 12.5 billion not so long ago while the broadband, tv, phone line and tv must be worth more than the current valuation. The pension noise is just a distraction. If people don't buy BT then what the F are they buying?

No big moves, just MMs knocking out retail investors. We should be doing over 500 million shares if any big investor was dumping. Buy these shares off the vampire hands and keep them for long term. They will be the ones to buy higher.

Come on, they didn�t have TV or mobile back then and broadband was no so fast, not so many people streaming contents and was still rolling out faster connections. Why would the last low matter when you consider what the company has added. If it goes lower just keep buying and forget about the current market price like the chairman said he put his own �1m into BT shares. That guy ain�t dumb, just us stupid retail traders / investors getting whacked by the pros in the city.

I think executive pay is excessive and corporate spending is disgraceful. Gavin P should be on 150k cash salary and 300k bonus in shares depending on share price performance. No Kevin bacon ads or expensive football rights.

Just keep buying, it will do a mega bounce very soon and would settle around 350p - 400p range.

All their customers need one basic thing to use their service which is broadband / 3G - 4G. Even during last recession people still watched football and TV while they can�t do without their mobile phones and broadband. BT is a strong buy, Vodafone is another option.
