Absolutely Ogggs. These might seem small steps but they are going up the credibility ladder in the company of the incumbent players in the field. There's still so much headroom being generated across a huge spectrum of applications. The prizes couldn't be bigger. Not nice seeing the SP down but its many times what I've paid starting in 2010. Patience!
I got the impression the Power Logistics guys helped Extreme E and AFC getting all the local power systems up and running.
Agree sounds like they'll configure the gen sets out of the mix if they can. Solar and AFC Fuel Cell only renewable power sources to charge the Battery(s).
As the Official Energy Storage Supplier for the inaugural season of Extreme E, Zenobe’s second-life battery will allow the series to maximise the consumption of renewable energy generated onsite.
2 May 2021, London: Zenobe, the UK’s leading independent owner and operator of battery storage and EV fleet specialists, will be providing a second-life battery to provide power to Extreme E’s site operations. These include the team garages and critical broadcast infrastructure, helping the series meet its net-zero target and highlighting the power of a circular economy.
So who's generating renewable energy onsite? This time looks like AFC will displace the diesel gensets running the static facilities. Must have worked ok in Alula then!
Well its quite clear who are the trolls on here ...... no surprise they stand to gain from their activities anymore is it? Why else would they bother to be here at all as they clearly have no interest in the company and its future.
Its clear now the whole operation is powered from the AFC system not just the cars and through the night. The team pits, monitors and control centre, comms, broadcast feeds all in a tent! Full off grid power.
I'm surprised no one picked up on the number of staff.
It seems like Mr. Bond has achieved wonders with such a tiny team.
Expenses minimal. 30 Million to create a manufacturing company round tech that now works.
No wonder he needed partners and what a prime pick.
They are going to go places but expansion is going to need great skill! Fingers crossed.
AFC also put hem on their Twitter feed.
I'm sure there will be someone on here who'll scoff and say is that all this is..one chemistry bench.?
I've been feeling all along that the future of the company rests more on the Solid FuelCell more than their current liquid one.
It should be more compact to use as an OEM component and/or retro fit power source for transport, construction power supplies, etc.etc. a real competitor to the much hyped PEMs stealing the limelight just now. I think the Liquid Cell will mainly be a bridge into the market.
