The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
If you closely read through the paperwork on the NC gov website you can see the Lumberton site never had from day 1 the correct permits to produce CoalSwitch because a 20 mmBtu/hr natural gas-fired boiler was always required. At the 2019 shareholders AGM we were all assured everything was in place, the plant would be running within only a few weeks & the steam needed would be supplied from Georgia Renewable Power (GRP). Even after the BOD being questioned this was an impossible task because the pipework/distance from GRP to the AEG reactor couldn't handle such pressure we were told we were wrong & everything was good to go. So here we are over a year down the road with Michael Rowan (MR) now asking for special permission from you to again dilute but at this time under the permitted 1p level. We are also informed even more worryingly that MR is delighted because to get this placement made he had to offer a massive 22.6% discount to the closing mid-market price of the Existing Ordinary Share of 0.775 pence on 19th August 2020 & such discounts usually show little confidence in CEO's abilities with investors. All this could have been easily avoided if only MR listened to his then loyal & very well informed shareholders at last years AGM!!!!
Looks like RMDE are releasing some exciting news on their CoalSwith licensing opportunities this week!!!
https://twitter.com/RGSPINKS/status/1287339972551467009?s=09
Good Afternoon Karny. The business being discussed in the pictouadvocate news article is to do with RMDE.ca & not AEG. RMDE have already invested CAD $2.4 million to secure licensing agreements from AEG to develop CoalSwitch into the provinces of Alberta & British Columbia in Canada. They're already very advanced working on these projects & were about to break ground when suddenly events occurred in Nova Scotia. Seeing how devastating the effects of closing Northern Pulp will be on the local community & the important supply of wood fibre already being in-place RMDE decided to spring into action & to try to save the logistic chain. However if the local Government wants to take a long drawn out process the people employed in this supply chain will have moved to alternative jobs/locations so the opportunity will be lost. RMDE will then just simply fully focus on its other exciting projects so there really isn't any pressure coming from them. AEG obviously would love the project to move forward but has no dealing other than waiting to see if RMDE comes knocking on the door to negotiate another licensing agreement for that region.
Good morning Seattle (CF) I did respond on Friday to your defamatory remark of me being somehow bitter because of Board rejection for a NED position but my memory of such events is very different. Now LSE has kindly reinstated my account please allow me to refute such claim before events escalate. Shortly after last years AGM (which I think you failed to attend) I was contacted by a number of significant players in AEG asking me to consider taking a position on the Board. After conducting my own background checks I notified the NOMAD my wish to withdraw from such process. I will happily show the emails confirming this fact at either the next AGM, EGM, investor lunch or any other meeting which may happen sooner.
Hi Smacks.
Before you start thinking that I might be some sort of share price manipulator let me make my identity fully known, which is a little unusual compared to some of the keyboard warriors who like to hide behind their pseudonyms while playing silly games on these chat sites.
My name is Dave Humphrey & Guvnor is my trading name from when I worked on both the IPE & NYMEX energy trading floors. I'm a large shareholder in AEG & was very instrumental working initially in the team which brokered the CoalSwitch technology into AEG & then as a consultant until end of August 2016 when I withdrew my professional services. Since then I've attended all AGM's along with many other CoalSwitch related meetings where I can be seen asking the more difficult questions which sometime get answered with frowning red faces.
I believe the CoalSwitch technology to be a game changer but any technology is only as good as the team driving it into the market. If you look back at my previous posts you can see they've mostly been very positive up until very recently when I now feel after the latest round of terrible errors its time to replace the current CEO & at a time when great new talent/NED's are wanting to join us.
Hi Blazer
I must agree after this latest episode of complete failure you really need to take just a little time to analyse why these events keep continually happening at AEG especially when we have a revolutionary game changing product.
Many Directors have come & gone with convenient blame for project failures laid on their departing P45's but it now seems there's always been one constant over the last 4 & half years & that is Rowan.
After joining as an NED in August 2015 he quickly moved to take over the Non Executive Chairman's position in April 2016 before being made the full Executive Chairman in Feb 2018 & then also taking on the CEO role at the AGM in July 2018. He's therefore held the most senior of roles for nearly 4 years & during the period when the company has faced a whole number of catastrophic disasters. No sooner had the ink dried on his new CEO business cards we saw the share price start its monumental sell off to these pathetic levels.
Being a large shareholder & very instrumental in helping to bring the CoalSwitch technology to AEG it gives me absolutely no pleasure writing negative comments on these chat sites especially as it could have a detrimental effect to the share price. So I'm hoping, like Blazer, other suffering shareholders also start to conclude we really need to find a more reliable CEO to move AEG more quickly forward. If you just look at what happened after 3 years of Teresa May huffing/puffing & absolutely getting nowhere with the EU. Then along comes Boris & Brexit is done within 3 months. I think it's time we need to find our own Boris & lets finally get AEG lead CoalSwitch projects up & running for the world to see.
Happy New Year/Decade to all & lets hope this is the year AEG finally gets moving upwards.
Attached is a very interesting link which shows why RMD Energy were very keen to secure the recent sub-licensing arrangement for British Columbia from AEG to produce their CoalSwitch product from forestry wastes.
The benefits to First Nations that participate in the expanding energy sector in B.C. will be measured in billions of dollars.
The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples — adopted unanimously by the B.C. legislature — throws open the door to “economic reconciliation” on an unprecedented scale.
The implementation of UNDRIP will reduce uncertainty for business, said Fort Nelson First Nation Chief Sharleen Gale.

Newfoundland Minister Gerry Byrne optimistically still thinks AEG might be considering building the Biofuel plant on the Great Northern Peninsular.

Nice article grsshaw & the unfortunate situation in British Columbia also plays beautifully in AEG's hands. I'm sure you remember the devastating forest fires across Alberta last year which are now also ragging through California. These can be substantially reduced with correct forest management which means thinning & removing the dead / unhealthy trees. These activities cost money & when the wood fibre being removed has no commercial value it makes these project difficult to finance. CoalSwitch can bridge this gap & now low quality/ wood-boring beetle infestations/ fire damaged trees can be used as a very viable feedstock for CoalSwitch production. Lets hope the companies being effected by mill closures, which includes Canfor Corp, Interfor Corp & West Fraser Timber Co are busy looking for alternative ways to process their fibre baskets & reach out to AEG for licensing type agreements as discussed at this years shareholders Annual General Meeting.

All major energy suppliers are currently investing 100's of millions trying to develop the new green renewable fuels which will power the human race into the far distant future & beyond the stars.
I would like to draw your attention to one of these projects called Arq which is a collaboration between the world's largest oil trading & commodities company called Vitol & US mining giant Peabody Energy Corp. Please appreciate these companies have huge budgets & expert technical teams to bring their new products to market unlike AEG who've made many mistakes but are still battling to successfully commercialise their first plant for it's shareholders.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-18/oil-trader-vitol-teams-with-peabody-to-grind-coal-for-refineries
https://www.arq.com/
Through this JV the Vitol/Pea Body development teams are striving to find new ways for blending coal wastes, which Pea Body has millions of tons, with crude oil, which Vitol has millions of barrels, into a new superfuel which will lower the cost of delivered energy, while cleaning up environmental liabilities, to make the world’s resources go further.
Now doesn't that sound like a similar storey to AEG & it's CoalSwitch Superfuel. So can you imagine how these major energy companies will react when the Lumberton machine starts producing & all from a mino company like AEG. Do you think they might just come knocking??
Please remember just how incredible AEG's CoalSwitch is. It takes Mother Nature millions of years to turn it's biomass wastes into highly polluting fuels like coal & oil. CoalSwitch however takes Mother Nature's biomass wastes and within 1 hour turns it into a new green renewable fuel for the future.
Yes AEG has made big mistakes & taken bad decisions but as can be seen the management team is being changed, they've signed some very exciting JV's, they've purchased their own massive site right in the middle of the USA biomass breadbasket which is close to shipping ports, they're now receiving help from the US Government in the form of grants along with rapid planning/rezoning decisions and have appointed the services of Andritz Group who are experts in the design, build and deployment globally of massive biomass processing plants.
If we can accept Mother Nature takes lots of time to get her projects correct I'm sure we can cut AEG a just a little more so it can bring Lumerton online in the next few months.
Also Andrew Wheeler Head of the EPA gives a very good talk into why President Tump wants his administration to focus on the clean-up of highly contaminated US lands from hundreds of years of mining activities. Although the extraction of these minerals helped propel the US into becoming a world Super Power their continued leaching into the soils and waterways are now causing problems for today's & future generations. President Trump has therefore asked for a renewed focus on the Superfund initiative & the acceleration to clean-up large contaminated hazardous / brownfield sites.

https://www.epa.gov/superfund/contaminated-media-superfund-sites
AEG's Joint Venture with Cobant falls perfectly into this massive opportunity with the Cobant's mobile technology being deployed to these sites to separate the many different types of mining pollutants from the soils so re-mediating the land and returning it back again to safe public use. The byproducts from this can then be passed through various processing methods & converted into both valuable renewable fuels by adding CoalSwitch & building materials to help power & reconstruct America's infrastructure. Without AEG's CoalSwitch & the Cobant partnership this activity would be a massive expense to the US Government but by working together we again have a WIN WIN situation for Pesident Trump & helping him achieve his MAGA ambitions.

I would also like to draw your attention to the talk Rick Perry gave at Presidents Trump's Speech on the US Environment. Again link posted below.
Rick Perry is America's Mr Energy Power-man & he clearly lays out how he wants to not only develop cleaner more efficient energy for utilising in the USA but with clever investment to then export these's revolutionary technologies around the world for the benefit of the world, mankind & the US economy.
Although CoalSwitch is currently operating a little bit under the radar, when the plant in Lumberton comes on line the CoalSwitch technology will activate a new revolution for how coal is used across the world into the future.
Remember SuperFuel has already been tested & proven to work at both the University of Utah Institute of Clean & Secure Energy for the US market & the Polish Government Lab for the EU market. Both these labs tested a CoalSwitch blend with coal at a 10% to 90% & concluded if you simply introduce CoalSwitch into the existing fuel supply at this ratio all Power plants can now immediately comply with the current Paris Climate Accord reduction targets. Increasing these ratios will further reduce emissions allowing Power plants to continue burning a CoalSwitch /coal blend Superfuel into the far distant future not only preserving highly valuable coal miners jobs but also creating thousands more from the new opportunities because of President Trump signing his Executive order to open Federal lands to correctly operated forestry management operations.
Now that to me sounds very much like a WIN WIN situations & we all known how President Trump love these!!!!!

Here's a very good map showing the layout of Federal lands across the USA and you can easily see why AEG was having trouble trying to secure enough feedstocks to make viable projects. On the map you can see the west is mostly red so Federal owned & up until last Monday no go for forest harvesting and management activities.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_lands#/media/File:Map_of_all_U.S._Federal_Land.jpg
Hopefully you saw President Trump's speech on improving the Environment which was streamed live from the White House last Monday. I've pasted the YouTube link below which takes you to a very interesting section where he explains about forest management.
It now seems with Trump as President a light bulb moment has finally occurred in the US with the realisation forests need to be correctly maintained & if done right can offer incredible opportunities to produce amazing new renewable fuels while capturing the harmful gases associated with man made climate change .
The problem AEG faced in Utah was most of the forest land was owned by the Federal Government so although the State Government (through the Energy Dept run by Dr Laura Nelson) wanted to support AEG's CoalSwitch so protecting their citizens they couldn't obtain harvesting rights to access Federals lands.
To correctly maintain these forests requires considerable investment to remove all the dead trees, branches, slash and wastes which then results in being left with something of very little to no commercial value & with difficulties to environmentally depose . CoalSwitch can now act as the game changer to this problem & what was once viewed as a cash draining activity can now be turned into a profitable job employing business while also having incredible positive effects on the environment.
I can just see the news headlines "Active Energy Group working proudly together with President Trump's towards MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN"
Now that is truly MAGA

Yes Bottom-feeder you would think so but if St Brides PR aren't capable of arranging a piss up in a brewery on a Thursday afternoon having them release a hard hitting positive article for their clients on POETS Day is highly unlikely even if President Trump has just presented them with incredible news.
The new rules introduced by President Trump yesterday plays perfectly into the hands for AEG's CoalSwitch and SuperFuels products.

Continued from last post.
With regards to needing to raise additional funds to complete the reassembly and build costs at Lumberton Rowan informed attendees at the investor lunch he could now easily tap into project finance opportunities because of the Lumberton property asset. The value of the companies patents were also discussed as a possible asset which could be used to leverage against further borrowings & although various ideas were put forward no amount was agreed. If you look at Drax which invested over £700 million to retrofit it's infrastructure to burn biomass pellets I'm sure other power plant owners would happily pay a very generous fee to license this technology so substantially reducing their retrofitting costs.
Obviously my knowledge of AEG inside information finished in August 2016 when I withdrew my consultancy services but I regularly meet with various contacts along with attending specialist conferences like Argus Biomass to keep ahead of how the market is developing.
https://www.argusmedia.com/en/conferences-events-listing/biomass
AEG announced middle March 2017 they'd raised £11.5 million convertible loan to construct their 1st commercial plant which they then demonstrated beginning February 2018. So from scratch it took less than a year to fabricate and assemble all parts so I think resembling should be sooner than end of 2019.
Another elephant in the room is the coming release of the 2018 trading figures which will be a massive nightmare. Hopefully the market has already factored much of this into the 0.4p share price but I'm sure there will be high volatility on their release. I therefore think your cautiously approach to adding additional risk at this time is sensible.
With regards to test samples its common practise for small samples of up-to approx 1 ton to be supplied free but for larger tests it's really down to the skills of the negotiators & how keen the owners are to find a solution for their power plants pollution. This is what was seen in the build up for the Rocky Mountain test with Warren Buffets group happy to pay a fare price to receive a large test sample. Although the University tests in both Salt Lake & Poland came back with great results CoalSwitch still needs a full test in a proper commissioned power plant boiler so AEG may need to reflect this in their price so to encourage such a task. Some major utilities require test samples so large it will be impossible for AEG to even try to entertain until they're producing over 50 TPH.
My last task at AEG was to produce a report into how revenues could quickly be generated to help sustain the business during the early development stages & while AEG went through all the very strict due diligence before being placed on the tender lists for approved fuel suppliers to power utility companies. My report identified an exciting opportunity to attack the home heating & small/medium enterprises where prices were double compared to supplying major utilities and with none of the very dangerous terms and conditions of business. Although transport logistic for doorstep deliveries presented an additional cost factor these where far from offset against the improved sale price. Unfortunately my report was dismissed as not being the preferred route to market but this opportunity still exists today & with the development of Amazon style delivery services makes it even more cost effective to get product to easier to supply customers.
