Do we care that other companies are similarly badly run. I say NOOOOOOO. Remember a lot of these chaps that run companies haven't actually a clue what they are doing. They just went to the right school or know the right people to get the job. They may talk impressively and wear an expensive suit but a lot of them are really thick. Plus they will always get the golden parachute while share holders do not.

I all seriousness, i held Taylor wimpey all the way down to 3p 2008 - 2009 and Barratt to about 25p roughly. You should not be holding on to housebuilders if you think house prices are about to fall heavily. Last time I held on and they went back up eventually but it took ages. Time is the most precious thing you have...

Well last time the bottom for Taylor wimpey was 3p and Barratt was about 25p (2008 - 2009) because I held both all the way down and all the way back up again.
Also in the mid nineties they went down a lot although I can't recall the price then but I remember reading the Times and thinking wow, they have come down a lot.

Velo - It's all smoke and mirrors in these reports you get from big companies. One minute you're comfortably invested in what seems like a great company and the next minute all hell is let loose.

Closing the Nailsworth and Stonehouse branches means i have to use the Stroud branch. To visit Stroud you have to use one of the car parks. The car parks are now difficult to understand. One old man got a fine of £100 through the post. Why does everything have to be so difficult nowadays?
