Once the production tubing has been installed and the remaining frac fluid successfully removed think they'll need to monitor production from 77h for a period of several weeks before any final conclusions can be drawn.
Any potential JV partner will not only require watertight proof of concept but also garuntees of sustained production.
Imho it'll be a while before any real confidence builds. The initial fraccing numbers are obviously very important however these being tested over a prolonged period will be the game changer. We know from past experience that production has a history of reducing over time. GLA
Google 'SYN (oilex)' and you should get a result
The code is listed as SYN on the asx
Imho name change a pointless exercise but what floats their boat!
After fourteen years it's so imbedded in my psyche a name change could in all probability be deeply traumatising
Well the proposed name change didn't set the world on fire.
Accorging to the rns we should soon know the answer to the only question that really matters.
At this stage an unsuccessful refracc doesn't even bear thinking about!
Typo error: should read 'they couldn't' fund both operations
Callum don't know their current status as when they decided to implement the planning and drillng of 76h they simply dropped of the radar.
I always found this a little unsettling as since the late 50's small but significant quantities of oil.had been recovered continuously from Cambay.
Maybe they just decided the could fund both operations simultaneously and saw tight gas as the priority.
These are figures from Cambay when I came onboard in 2008
'Oilex commenced production from Miocene Basal Sand (MBS) in the Cambay Field on October 17, 2008 from the Cambay-64 well, which produced 9,374 barrels to the end of December. A second well, Cambay-74, was brought into production on Dec. 5, and produced 7,453 barrels to the end of the quarter'
Have to wonder where we might have been today if they hadn't decided to put all their eggs in the fraccing basket
Does anyone else on here have posts vanish?
It's happened to me twice most recently on the 18th of last month when I described as laudable the fact that Schlumberger had been chosen as the prefered contractor to carry out the fraccing.
Don't post very often these days but was just interested to know!
Based on what we already knew wasn't expecting miracles when they pulled out the plug. The future is and has always been on fraccing and that's yet to come.
I've been around for ever and like any of us it's a choice and my choice was always to stay even after all we've endured. My financial interest isn't huge but it's emotion that keeps me hanging in.
I'm waiting for the day when my half yearly dividend cheques start to turning up in the mail lol
Nice to see an rns but it appears the timeline keeps changing
