That is the thing to do. Get the advice and plan accordingly... I feel I've got plenty of time to step back a bit from the markets as still imo timing is key.....With internet save a lot of legwork. Given how rates have gone and down I've never opened / closed so many accounts... My kids.. bank of mum and dad looking a likely suspect but they have own accounts with quite a bit in them now.. My dad he always help but is a bit of a pride thing..

I was thinking that maybe after a few yrs things they settle down. Still hoping that be the case...

I have a NS&I that mature in the 2 days that roll off the 6.2%.. Just cash so tax man will be happy😒 but interested to note reinvest NS&I rates on offer for it longest term 5yr is 4.1%AER..

So maybe they ( NS&I )think rates wont go down too much...

I still like to play the markets.. So9 still have skin in the game..

If RR meddle with ISAs could be a problem for me that one....

A while back I moved a fair chunk of money from my Stocks &Shares ISA to derisk..

Highest rate is 5.62% virgin isa 2 yr.. 05/08/2023

virgin 3yr 5.48% another at 5.37% one more at 5.08%

santander 2yr 5.45% another 5.10%

leeds 18month 5.25%

Oaknorth 4.84%

M&S 3yr 4.80%

Nationwide 4.20% another 4.10%

YBS 4.85%

They have varying penalties.. Leeds is 105days interest. M&S is a nominal sum. Virgin vary between the 60 day and 90 day

The Munich-based ifo Institute for Economic Research's Employment Barometer fell in August for the third month in a row, dropping to 94.8 points from 95.3 in July.

Weak economic growth is also reflected in weak employment numbers, said study leader Klaus Wohlrabe. "The lack of orders is causing companies to put the brakes on hiring."

The ifo barometer is regarded as an important early indicator for the German labour market.

Every month, the institute asks around 9,500 companies whether the number of their employees is likely to increase, decrease or remain roughly the same over the next three months".
