The information and most probable answer is here: https://www.kinsale-energy.ie/decommissioning.html
If the link doesn't work:
"A number of surveys will be carried out on the sites of decommissioned facilities and pipelines to identify any debris or pipeline spans which might be hazardous to fishing or marine activities in the future. The results of these surveys will be used to plan the final site clearance and rock placement activities. A number of sediment samples will also be taken to confirm that no contamination has occurred during the decommissioning program."
As a LTH, I find Nigel's often tongue in cheek vitriol, a welcome break from much of the sycophantic stargazing. Progress is rarely made in any industry with constant acquiescence and without a challenge now and again of the status quo.
Perhaps the opinion of some is that the "troll" negativity is damaging to to potential investors looking to this board for investment advice, despite the usual DYOR caveats.
Perhaps also the "troll" like positivity is also perceived by some in a similar way.
Without light, dark would not exist.
I continue to hold PRD because of the same faith in the mission(s) that got me here 3+ years ago. Personally, I take every post with a pinch of sodium chloride and appreciate each on its own merit and indeed, more often than not, on its own demerit.
Recent RNSs suggest we are on the cusp. I hope the unequal amount of rampers on this board are proven correct.and that posters like Nigel continue, albeit with less personal attacks on forum posters.
Perhaps I am nit the inly one to spot the irony in that, considering which post I am replying to.
GLA. DYOR and BYOB to the party next year.
My genuine and sincere apologies if I offended your delicate sensibilities.
I will make sure before posting any further rambling comments of that ilk on this public forum that I consider the feelings/reactions of the lowest common denominator of emotional intelligence.
To be fair though, I think it went over their heads.
Not yours though! Great guy. Thanks again.
@thechancers: thanks for the apparent concern but no-one holds a gun against my head to read anything or indeed, to sit next to teenage girls at every opportunity (once again, all 18 or over). I choose to do these things because in my opinion, peaceful lives are for dullards, freeloaders and people with no ambition.
I assume everyone here is a kindred spirit regarding ambition at least, so the favour I'll do to myself is to keep posting opinions.
Let's hope PRD have less issues than a few of the commenters here clearly do. Reading through some of this drivel was like being sat on a train and having to listen to a bunch of teenage girls gossiping.
But without any inappropriate arousal.
Obviously these teenagers are all 18 or over, legal and consensual. Although the term "consensual" intimates perhaps I was considering engaging with them. I'm not.
I hope that's cleared the matter up, in case anyone was feeling awkward.
Anyhoo… look forward to some positive news on the shares and the train journey home.
Seems to be a lot of you talking about news impending over quite a period of time but nothing much happening.
Maybe PRD can get the rights to mine some of the gas produced in previous chat. That's got to be worth a 10pps jump.
Wanted to diversify the kid's inheritance and after the recent fuel cap increase was brought to PRD by the fair amount of chat and the fact the CEO seems to be held in some esteem.
I can see you're all feeding the trolls so I might grab some popcorn. And my freeze-ray.
