In 2023 alone, Barclays issued 'analysis' for Phoenix on 14/02, 07/09, and 29/09. So, it's a timeframe of their choosing, lol.

On the subject of broker recommendations, I think you need to ask yourself one important question : Is this 'target' price what they anticipate it to be on Monday, at the end of August, at the beginning of December, or a year from the recommendation issue date ? Unless you can answer that question, the recommendation is meaningless.

Surprised you see bagging the Phoenix circa 27p divi as a 'win' when you could have sold Phnx at any time in the fortnight or so (circa 540 - 550p) leading up to ex-divi date then bought back any time in the week or so since for a 50p+ discount (circa 480p - 508p)on the pre-div share price.

It does make me laugh, those naive individuals who think that a board like this with - what - maybe 40 anonymous, amateur visitors ? who've got a few thousand pounds each invested here, and any anonymous shorters - or rampers - are going to influence anything is just an indication of how moronic this board, and it's contributors are.

They slashed the dividend because they have been mis-stating their reserves, and their daily production. Their share buyback scheme has not had the required capital to sustain it, again because they mis-stated reserves and daily production.

Well, their aim was to con the gullible, so yes, they have been immensely successful. Why shouldn't they reward themselves ?

But if DEC are pumping all the gas they claim to be - over 80%, is it ? and hedged at a healthy profit - having slashed the dividend, shouldn't they be rolling ion cash right now ?
