I mean, whatever your views of share buybacks, they're no short-tern fix, other than maybe the day a buyback scheme is announced. Take IMB, share buyback, first tranche of £1 billion (5.5 of shares outstanding) announced on 6th October 2022, by 11th September 2023 that first tranche was completed, share price went from c.1940p to c.1790p.

Is it fear of missing out on any fantastic gravity defying rally from here that keeps you hanging on ? What do you expect to be the catalyst to send this rocket to the moon, that has so far proved elusive ?

Notrex, I really would love it if you answered a very reasonable question pickedpeck asked you before you went into total meltdown the other day. It was something along the lines of you have absolutely no faith in Rusty, no faith in the buyback program, no faith that the board has a plan to add any value to the company share price. You constantly post how little faith you have that things will ever get better. So, why are you still holding ?

So, trek baloney, what you're saying in that statement is that you bought at 479p, they went up, you didn't sell at the higher price, but instead placed a 'stop' order to sell them if they dropped later that day to a lower price, which would be your stop ?

Tell me notrex, how does it feel, knowing I was right, and seeing your capital halved, and your dividend shredded ? How do you deal with having to give Rusty the benefit of the doubt, labelling him incompetent - despite his extensive background in the oil and gas industry and finance - rather than coming to the realisation you've been taken for a mug - and not for the first time.
