TTL I would take away that suggestion I am another poster, look how many posts I have made 4300 over many years. These are volatile countries, Tunisia, less so, but you have to remember, oil is foreign currency, whatever the colour of the party in office, governments like spending foreign cash.. So oil is likely managed in a separate way, they wont want to lose opportunities to make money while they prat around changing the front man.

They need this cash desperately, I would imagine the oil ministry is carrying on as normal.. This is highly likely (in Africa terms) a storm in a teacup. The BBC love to blow these things bigger than they really are as well...

For me though Hippo - if decline rates are this high and that is reflective of the license, then really they should be looking to amend the PSC terms as they dont (IMO) reflect that.

But for larger holders that would be an interesting point, what is the average well decline rate across the license post first month production. And once you have that figure what are the best wells numbers and what are the worst, IE is it quite similar or are they some really big decliners (like ASD 1X) and that's a bit of an anomaly.

Yes it will, but as more wells come "online" if they exhibit decline rates of 50 percent per quarter you do get yourself into a strange position that you either start doing continual workovers to maintain production or field production starts to fall despite new discoveries coming on line, as the net total of the existing well stock declines at a faster rate than the new wells can replenish it.

Not saying that will happen here, but anyone that knows anything would be surprised that a well that flowed over 2000 boepd on test (from memory) is now down to 600 3 months later.

Point taken, but in a serious note. Asd 1x was put into production on a stable flow ( a lot less than maximim) a few months ago and it’s already declined by 50 percent. Have you seen that?

Morning all, looks like it might open above 1.2 in Oslo. For me the big move has not even begun yet but looks like the momentum is building now.

Not a lot of cash in the bank.. Brian’s salary taking its toll?

Feels like the buzz is well and truly here now, Oslo market is clearly very well traded and providing a nice pull for London which appears to be warming up nicely now.

The bottom line is though that the market cap for the assets is completely wrong, the shares are far too cheap. Been a lot of consolidation around the 1p level and this looks ready to love to fresh near term highs to me. Be interesting to see if it starts with a bang on Monday. I have a feeling it will close over 1p.

Really happy with how things are moving along here. AC is clearly aware of the importance of keeping the local authorities sweet and making sure that ZEN are not seen as just being in the country to extract as much wealth as possible. This is how you do business over there and its very important that this continues. There are almost certainly nods and winks taking place, I think we all know or suspect that, but by "levelling up" their health system in return for a positive reception and support to extract oil I am very happy. Oil price currently is rock solid and rising and every day there are more dollars in Zens bank account. With the recent cash from the first oil sold its going to be very interesting to see where they look to increase production levels first.

I expect the next few months are going to see a lot of news flow coming through.
