Ouch!

Correct about the cassette as this has been about for years. the design freeze refers to the strip inside. The cassette has been developed to accept many types of strip which react with the blood when the finger is pricked. Food intolerance and allergies, HIV and sugar to name a few. It is the strip we are waiting on not the whole product so any videos of these can be for anything and made years ago. Going to be fun this week and the cream will rise to the top.

No. the golden ticket is a test I can do at home and get a result that is mine with no need for other people to take blood from me. Taking blood samples is not as easy as you think. This is headlines to take the pressure off the government and not get caught out when a test is released. It would help if the story was correctly reported but that wouldn't sell newspapers or make for attention grabbing headlines. We will see in tonight's briefing if there is a reporter brave enough to question the tests or they just want to carry on asking the same questions and hammering the government for inactivity. Somebody is letting the truth get in the way of a story.

Roche doesn't have a "kit" it is a lab test which front line people can have to show immunity. It is a bit of inaccurate reporting. Most people won't know the difference between antigen and antibody. They just see the word test and think it is all over. The government may well be planning to buy the tests but only to keep the public quiet and deflect from any bad news so I looks like they are being pro-active. Can you imagine the clamour if the news came out about a test and the government didn't buy any? The public needs confidence.

Listening to talk radio you would think Roche has the answer. So little research by the radio people. Not once did I hear it was a lab test. only it was 100% accurate, which can be achieved in a lab. Still nothing out there yet with dependable accuracy you can do at home. There are tests but they are not accurate to much past a maybe. The HIV test took 5 years to produce for example. I don't have enough experience to explain the share price ride but hanging in as I think this is the right company. My background is science and bacteria.

In my opinion this is why there is no news. They want to announce a reliable test. Cost is secondary at the very least. Many countries are buying a test only to discover it is not reliable. Would you want a HIV test that is reasonably accurate? look how long it took to develop a reliable HIV test. Reasonably accurate is not good enough and it will take time to verify an accurate test. I am a very small holder in these looking to make a bit of money. Hanging on in there but must admit it is getting interesting. I still have an average of 29p so it is really only the day chasers and people who have recently invested who are nervous. If you have recently invested you can't expect it to fly the next day!

Notice a pattern? It is one of those days and will get better. If ODX was the only one in red then I would worry more but all the ones involved in searching for a test are down. Go for a walk and close the computer for a it if you are nervous and come back next week. when it will have changed.

This is a Linear project run by blue people (Check Insights for this) so there won't be lots of news and shouting. Blue people tend to wait until it is ready before saying anything. Iterative projects tend to say things often as they discover or take a step forward to an unknown goal or end time. If the project is Linear then there will be a known end time and the people won't want to distract from the end goal as they know what's happening. This explains the difference and shows what type of test it will be. I saw a lot of these types of tests for HIV in Zambia when I was there witht he UN. Very accurate and easy to use. I would think it is guaranteeing the accuracy is hte slow part of getting this out to the market as you don't want to have another recall like we did before and £20million down the drain.
