If it's all about reporting posts to get them removed, I'd like to know who has been getting the posts of others removed, such as Sausage, Norrab and myself for example? I don't see any of those people moaning about it.

If you post something that infers you have information but you’ll only share it off the board with your mates, what sort of message does that send to a moderator?

If things are posted on here that are potentially a bit near to the mark in terms of the MAR, the board gets looked at far more closely. Monitoring is a key requirement for these boards to comply with statute and regulation laid down by the FCA. It's exactly why you need to register and IP addresses are logged.

"The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. As a user you agree to any information you have entered being stored in a database. You agree that we have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic or board at any time should we see fit. You agree that we have the right to remove any post without notice."

I'll reiterate it - the boards are monitored and posts don’t need to get reported to be removed.

bigeye - perhaps if you spent more time researching things as opposed to being so eager to insult people, you may be more informed.

There was an article in Mining Weekly back in early April about the world's deepest mines in South Africa and the fact that they had closed down so quickly because of Covid-19 yet it would take three to four weeks for them to re-open and get back to output.

The 8 June RNS stated "The Agreement, which will become effective once business activity can return to normal in Tanzania following the Pandemic....." so the reopening of the mine is an absolutely critical part of the agreement.

"The Tanzanian Government has recently recommenced flights in and out of the country and is now providing a message of "business as usual". That was seven weeks ago - you could get the deepest underground mines in the world back to full output in three or four weeks - what exactly is stopping us?

"Keeping the market informed, although good practice isn't mandatory" - indeed, which means not keeping the market informed is poor practice.

...the RNS we were hoping for. Come on Alistair.

Bigeye - no, my point wasn't just about there being no RNS. The mine is still not open and AM mentioned in an interview in May that there was an issue around poor infrastructure being destroyed by rain. Its never really been explained.

Sausage - now, now!!

Nicely demonstrated again by our BoD as to one of the key reasons we're languishing at the MCap we are today. Still no update and the market draws its own conclusion.

"In a press statement, Edenville CEO, Alistair Muir said mining operations which had restarted in early March were suspended indefinitely because of the pandemic but also poor infrastructure destroyed by rains."
That was the 11 May.

Yet in our 8 June RNS....
"Operations at Rukwa are currently suspended as a result of the Pandemic, but the Company is on standby to recommence activity as soon as practicable, once it safe to do so. The Tanzanian Government has recently recommenced flights in and out of the country and is now providing a message of "business as usual". The Company will continue to monitor the situation and will make a decision to recommence operations as soon as it is appropriate to do so."

Where has the "poor infrastructure destroyed by rains" bit been talked about in any of our RNSs? Is this what is primarily causing the delay? Was it sorted out between 11 May and 8 June?

You need to be talking to the market Alastair.

Although in fairness aerial, nobody accused you of being a drunk or a plank.

Seriously though, nobody should need to "share contacts or information" - anything that is of significance to our operations should be being shared with the market via a RNS. It's not about what is getting posted on Twitter, ADVFN, etc etc, it's about our BoD updating the market so that "assumptions" are not getting made about why there is no news. Our BoD should know by now that a fair proportion of the battle on AIM in supporting the MCap is through news - we've let the market down so many times on false promises that if they are silent, the market assumes it's because it's bad news.

Sausage has made some excellent points in his earlier post and I think that one or two on here have had responses from Tim over the last month or so that he would ask the BoD for updates etc.

We talk abut lack of updates on here all the time - our BoD never seems to change.

Teaye - in reality, you should never believe anyone on here and simply do your own research and trust your own judgement!

Teaye - the issue is a lack of update, again. The expectation from the market is we would probably open on 29 June along with the lifting of further restrictions in Tanzania and the lets get back to normal message for the economy. So why aren't we back mining? If it's delayed, then let's get the message out so people have something to work to.

The biggest problem we have as a company is market sentiment. That's squarely on the shoulders of our BoD and PR company.

Teaye - yes and therein lies one of our problems - lack of updates. Magufuli ordered everything to be up and running again from Monday 29 June, so we should be getting an update from our BoD shortly, surely?

Interesting that no-one has as yet been able to take 10minutes of their time and send two forms (TM01 and AP01) into companies house to confirm our directorate changes, yet they managed the SH01 form in three days.

It's just a bit shoddy as usual - these are the sorts of messages that get sent to the market.

star10 - I can't recall either if we have enough information from the BoD to accurately assess what level of ROM coal we need to throughput, but it may well sit across a few different RNSs and annual reports.
I'm interested how you get 38t/hr though?

Sausage - agree - we need to get the mine open, get mining the coal and see if we can get towards breakeven. We need to get the economies of scale and start making more money than we're spending. GLA
