Vin spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Computer Software plc, which she founded in 2008. Advanced was a consolidator in the healthcare and business solutions sector which, in March 2015 was acquired by Vista Private Equity.

For the five years prior to this, Vin was CEO of Computer Software Group plc. This was initially taken private with backing from HgCapital and subsequently, alongside a merger, was exited to US PE Hellman Friedman in 2007.

Vin is on the boards of three FTSE 250 companies: Zoopla Plc, Sophos Plc and Softcat Plc. In her case funds flow in and out from other sources she controls. The majority of her vast undoubted wealth is in other entities and vehicles.
