Further to my last comments, I am new to this investment and have now read all the RNS's. I have changed my mind totally and given that Tanzania is currently a dead duck, this company is going to be a winner. the fact that the large investors are remaining loyal is but proof of that though by now Petra will have already been talking to them and speaking positively. The Gov't must know that once sorted, the mine is best left in Petra ownership to ensure operational continuity - skills, contacts and industry calm. The Gov't diamond production monitors must have been replaced by now. New Management in Petra Tanzania is probably on the cards and that will take a while to agree new standards with the new monitors. Am hopeful of a positive RNS next week concerning the S Africa and Tanzania mines.

Bad for investor relations and along with a series of RNS's containing worrying business/political news, it seriously suggests limited long term prospects within what I can only describe as a failing country where the officials have probably made so much money ( and continue to do so) that when absolute economic or political failure is upon them, they will simply decamp en-bloc to the South of France so as to be close to their European investments. A history of RNS's which show political and economic instability in the countries they operate in is truly disturbing. I suspect as much time is spent by the Chairman in financially "appeasing" the have-not Government as is spent in Managing the company. There must come a time when the Company has to walk away from either a corrupt regime, suicidal labour troubles and/or unending "protection" charges by so called "freedom fighters". In the meantime I cross my fingers for a profitable future.

Looks as though his 7000 share sale has spooked the market. But the profit to him based on his last 2 purchases is I calculate around £40,000 which would barely buy his wife a nice new car. However the total take home amount is in the £millions so I suspect he is eyeing up a new house somewhere across the Globe. One things for certain - no business news will be released for the statutory cooling down period which news is probably what the profit takers were actually hoping for.
