I suppose it would depend on what they felt was worthwhile taking on, if they already have some of the staff in place then they could in theory continue the service with less overheads. Alternatively they will need to find a provider in any case so may have to pay the provider more money.

Totally are still looking to recruit more HR staff which suggests there may be more contracts to follow.

What I meant was that only staff transferring from the NHS would be entitled to stay on that pension, I'm not aware of any contracts that have been taken over from the NHS. If for instance a GP joins Totally of their own accord then TUPE would not apply.

So the NHS pension would only apply to staff who are already in the NHS pension scheme.

Does look interesting but bit of research suggests it’s been around quite some time and not taken off and even if it did there are quite a few larger companies already trialing this bearing in mind no one company has the patents for a Stirling engine.

But surely that’s a job for batteries ie Tesla not a Stirling engine. Most of my solar power is used at source and doesn’t go back into the grid.
