Great posts by everyone this morning. As I don’t have time to go and look, I thought I’d put it to the masses...wasn’t it discussed before that the cost of expanding into the rest of the free space (which I presume is the building next door) would be £500k? Which would expand the production capacity to many multiples of that? Then ibbiously there would be other costs in hiring, etc. If someone could refresh my memory on this, i’d be grateful :)

Great post In-long. I could see the properties, but couldn’t work out very well, exactly how it translated into use in the products mentioned. So from the data sheet, it seems like this ingredient is far superior to the current poly acrylic dispersant in calcium carbonate (CaCO3) slurries, then it completely blows the current dispersant for titanium oxide slurries out of the water?! That graph shows a ridiculous difference. What exact uses would the latter have please?

Thanks AJP, that’s is very useful. So it appears then, that itaconix xdp 820 was filed in December 2018 and granted last August?! Useful in dispersion and prevention of scaling. So, paints, acrylics? Am I barking up the wrong tree, or is this what John was hinting at?

I wish I had found ingredients in most of the Ecover products! Unfortunately it was just the universal washing powder, that would go alongside the existing colour washing powder that is already in the list from them. What you have said makes a lot of sense, if they are essentially the same company as method, owned by SC Johnson. I didn’t check method, due to already thinking we are used in quite a few of their products already.

Another interesting one was Mr Bear Family, as one of the products that we have fairly recently been added to has been announced as a winner for the 2021 Swedish beauty awards. ITX ingredients, if I’m correct, are now in many more of their products, with those particular products doing particularly well. Their range of beard shapers were nominees for the beauty awards, so only products of theirs containing ITX ingredients were either nominated or won. All small good signs, I think.

Just to add on a couple of points about our ever expanding list of products. Over the weekend, I decided to have a look at some of the companies that had already used ITX ingredients in their products. The aim was to see if they had expanded their use into other products of theirs. After the few that I listed the other day, I found quite a few more products that some of ITX’s quite large existing customers now incorporate our ingredients into. This to me shows that they are not only happy with the ingredient, but are confident enough to increase its use further within their product range. Therefore meaning not only repeated, but larger orders.
Once Parob has hopefully signed off these few, I’ll put the other links up. Quite excited about ecover, if it’s correct.

Had a bit of time to do some research this morning. After looking into the PL360 pet stain and odour remover (which is already on the list), there are now numerous other products by that company that contain ITX ingredients. A few of these products are sold in Target and all have excellent reviews, being extremely popular. They are also releasing new pet products (some containing ITX ingredients) constantly (a dry shampoo for dogs being one of the very recent ones in the past few weeks, that is already getting excellent reviews), including cat odour neutralisers, shampoos etc.

Ha! Should have bought scaffolding boards instead! That’s a crazy increase in price. Saying that, houses are selling like hot cakes here and are mostly being sold the same day as going on the market. Strange times indeed :)
