I checked my stocks at lunchtime today, during a busy day of not seeing the news and nearly had heart failure! Pleasantly surprised with Lloyd’s and everything else FTSE (except AstraZeneca), but took a huge kicking in SNG and pretty much everything else AIM. Happy that Val is non Covid related so will be watching with interest as to how the rest of the week pans out in general.
Still believe that the vaccine isn’t the be all and end all of Covid treatments and wonder how safe this Pfizer one is when the safety data is released. Interesting times.
Well I’m firmly in the Speedy camp. Global gold mine production fell 1% in 2019. China are steadily buying up as much gold as they can lay their hands on too. Along with the other facts to do with the world economy and the amount of printing money that has and is about to come due to this pandemic.
I’ve been steadily buying 1oz gold Britannia coins (amongst other coins and sovereigns) and they have become increasingly scarce over the last couple of months into last week. Managed to get hold of a 2019 Britannia last week, but nothing this week so far.
I’m pretty sure that an England lockdown won’t affect Wales. The whole point of what Mark Drakeford did is to do this earlier, to be different from England. So we won’t be going into lockdown here. If anything, I’m thinking the markets will take a hammering from the England lockdown in the short term, including the price of gold, but then gold will increase In value To continue it’s bull run. Any thoughts?
I definitely wouldn’t fall out with you Bojo...you are in most of the companies I’m invested in :)
Bedex, if it makes you feel any better, I’m kicking myself too. I only took up my allocation and now wished I’d asked for more. Would much rather the money go in DNL’s coffers to help develop ditest. I’d love to know if that guy got his £50k extra too...
Bojo lol! I believe you took my comment the wrong way. I was merely pointing out in a friendly way that your post appeared to tell HunSen to load up and enjoy the serenity before the herd arrived. I didn’t think you realised that he’s a lth here. Apologies if you got the wrong end of the stick.
Bojo, just to make you aware...HunSen has been here for years...
I am of the same mindset as you HunSen. Also, I’d much rather buy my extra shares under the open offer so that the company actually benefits. Nice and slow and holding steady here, especially as Andle pointed out, with the markets taking a hammering. I don’t think anything in my portfolio has done well so far this week...
It sounds like you had a lovely week :)
Ha...one very tired dog for sure! Feeling a bit too delicate for gin tonight...
The trip to the little welsh shop was wholly unproductive, as they didn’t have anything much there this time. May try somewhere here tomorrow :) You definitely seem to have bought your precious metals at the right time. I’m hearing more and more about silver especially, being at the start of a huge bull run :)
I conceded and his name is Basil. Although he is so mental that he generally gets called anything along the lines of a little **** lol!
How are you sharegnomie? It’s been a while :)
Great thank you! I didn’t think it would be an issue, so happy that work will go ahead :)
There are no bubbles from Friday. We will be in complete lockdown, very similar to March. We went to work then though, if we couldn’t work from home, so I can’t see it being any different this time. Did the work at the mine carry on in March and April, does anyone know? As I wasn’t invested here then.
Ok, so as we are thinking of escaping Wales before this lockdown, would people recommend the lizard peninsular? Will be heading in that direction and possibly stopping along the way and also around there. Not had an awful lot of experience of the area...
Also, you need to retract Doog’s comment from your tiny list, as he said the toleration was excellent. Which it was. But he didn’t say the results themselves were excellent. The truth is that there was a lot to interpret, which kinda happens from the term ‘headline results’ in that they are not detailed. We are yet to receive these. Also, you clearly pick and choose your arguments too, as the scientists on this bb stated at the time that the trial design meant they couldn’t be excellent this time, but it’s the patterns from the full results that we will be looking at and are what will matter. Twisting all the time...
Why you would waste your time frequenting a board so often, that’s full of ‘brainwashed cult members‘, for a company that you’re not invested in, I’ll never know... beats me how anybody has the time...
