For those dreaming of the FTSE250 "If QED were valued at £719.30m it would have a share price of 40.9p." ... Without wishing to overly dampen the speculation but add some perspective, in the 20 years since the company was formed (and I first invested), it hasn't produced a penny in revenue, let alone a profit, has burnt through $40 million of shareholders funds in the last 10 years and is currently valued at £128 million pounds ..... of hope, a multiple of 20 times net assets. For the moment I think that is pretty generous. Maybe that explains why long term shareholders, who funded it through the last two decades, and to whom recent arrivals, and the company, owe a debt of gratitude, are not quite so rah-rah -rah .... ;) If soon we see commercial revenues and a clear financial growth path, then the total cost of ownership to date may, in time, be repaid with a share price backed up by a multiple of actual profit. I look forward to still be holding when it reaches 48p again .....
