The barrett well is located in Hamilton Kansas about 4miles East of the bradshaw gas field and NE of the very large Hugoton field. There are noted as helium rich plays. Usually helium is found with high concentrations of nitrogen and very little combustable gas products. Back in the day they drilled a number of wells east of bradshaw which look to have defined the fields eastern boundary. Many were dry but barrett which is one of the furthest away from bradshaw came up with high pressure nitrogen rich gas. At the time nitrogen was a byproduct so was of no interest to producers, thus i can see why it may have been considered in the same way as for a dry well, and plugged. But there is obviously something there and they may have missed an opportunity. could it be pay zone thats linked to the bradshaw field or could it be a new field. To the east and south east there has been no exploration, and very little to the north east either. Which makes sense if development of bradshaw was the focus back then and wells much much closer than this were coming up dry. Given this i can see why they are so interested in a neighbours drilling. All eyes on the geology data!

At these flow rates, the nitrogen collected during testing (say first 30-60 days) has the potential to pay off the well development costs. Self financing field with very quick payback.

Kansas nitrogen field is a great opportunity. Real game changer. WD, CO2 and Nitrogen leases really took market by surprise. Never priced in.

Looking at trading view charts Daily MACD now passing through zero and going positive. First time in six months, so could be the start of a new up trend

Yesterday was simply a retest of the resistance level of 19.4p which held.

Charts looking strong for further rise. 24p has been mentioned as next resistance level before 30p. The nitrogen play is game changing. This one recompleted well has potential to return as much revenue as for powell! $6m pa+ And at a fraction of the cost. Drilling another 7 wells will be simple for this team. No need for third party finance with this one. Big change ahead and all very positive.

Think it will burst very quickly, the development opportunity is great. Simple cheep quick vertical wells, no frac needed, great pressures, volumes and quality. $6m pa in revenue potentially per well would be tremedous. It will be like hole punching the ground for this team given their expertise!

Wow indeed, we are talking $6-$7millon in revenue of the 1 well and these are much simpler wells to drill. Huge opportunity.

Great update, you have to give them credit, testing new technology on drills that some oilees couldn’t even do the basics with shows how much confidence there is on the ground in them, especially with the financing partners who hold alot of the risk now but letting them push the technology forward. Absolutely brilliant top of the class stuff. And then the statement “Our reputation as pioneers and high-quality operators have provided us with access to the range of opportunities we now hold in our portfolio” again a great show of confidence. The dates/deadlines will always fluctuate. We should be investing in their competency and expertise not their project gant chart.

Im investing in their expertise and potential to become world leading in shale oil recovery technology, not their ability to stick to a project gant chart, especially if sticking to it means less value and wasted opportunity (got enough of that short sightedness where i work!)

I think they will hand over operatorship of ED fairly soon as this is consuming valuable resource and time. ED has given them a great opportunity to develop relationships with major oil companies and to build confidence across the industry in their ability to deliver and facilitate complex drilling programmes involving many investment partners. Their work over the past 6months has clearly given them a view of what the big opportunities are going forward and it looks like they are leaning towards being a service provider with expertise in EOR and Parent well protection; as well as facilitating partnerships in new oil field development programmes. This is what is key for me as it is a much lower risk strategy and eliminates to companies exposure to the significant overhead costs associated with the day to day operations and maintenance of oil fields like ED; which is also really a waste if their expertise and time. best leaving that to those who are set up for it like true oil.
