i remember way back when PB said any new wells coming online improve netbacks, since most operational costs for the company are fixed. This first well alone might derisk oil price fluctuation. Very few trading days left before we find out more. Any views?

Seems like a balanced view of the opportunity. SP of 26p based on current assets and possible 60p on the back of the exploration plans.

The Solar project is new to me. @ 50MW and say 3p per KWh you could be talking seven didgit (£1-3m’s) in annual revenues from the project of not more. (the cost of electricity in Trinidad & Tobago is steady at around $0.05 per kWh.)

Anyone got ideas on drilling progress?
8500ft in 28days, average 300ft per day.
13 days in so far; so maybe about 4000ft done.
Perhaps they hit the first target at 5500ft this weekend?
Would we get an update at the first target, i assume they will see a change in spoil on the drill bit!

Certainly have. Looks like Income taxes got them due to no development in period

Gona stick my neck out (will wind it back in tomorrow at 7am, lol) Oil prices were stronger in april,may june. So we might get a little surprise. In Q1 they just about broke even at an average of $57 per barrel. Say the Average was about $5 higher for Q2 -20% increase in revenues on Q1 netbacks of $30. But they did have a 10% drop in production. I’m gona guess they turned a small profit in Q2 of upto $1m.

On the funding for well 2; we should know soon; they did say in Q1 results:
“Touchstone's Board of Directors approved the drilling of a second well on our Ortoire property. We have commenced construction of the surface location of the initial well and anticipate spudding in late June, subject to drilling rig availability. We expect to drill the second well using the same drilling rig immediately thereafter. ”
Seems funny to approve something without knowing how your gona pay for it!

The upper target, which has the highest confidence factor assigned to it, has already been proven. However, it’s the lower target we are most excited about.
